Olive Oil Formula Body Lotion Reviews

I bought this cream to try as I wanted a body cream with olive oil and thought this one sounded rather good. The bottle I had was large and came with a pump which I was happy about as I am not a fan of having to pour product out as I tend to waste alot.

It has a mild pleasant smell to it and absorbs well in to the skin which I like.

This lotion smells really nice (it's neutral and natural, which makes it very practical in combination with other scents worn) and has a thick consistency.

I was given a travel size version of this product by my sister, who used it on her belly when she was pregnant. I can see how it would have helped her, with the intense stretching of the skin, since the lotion is so thick.

It certainly is too heavy for my regular skin (arms/legs) and it will just sit on the skin unless I apply an extremely thin layer, which then feels like not enough.

I was given this to use in my scar tissue on my chest, and it simply is way too thick for that as well. I have "anchor scarring" from a breast reduction and the scars are right under my bra (that I really do have to wear still) and the cream just wouldn't sink into the skin fast enough for it not to become irritating under my bra.

I can see how this cream would be very useful for certain scenarios or extremely, extremely dry skin, but for regular skin or for skin with special needs under clothing it simply is too thick.

Throughout my pregnancy this is the product I chose to use morning and night time to apply on my growing baby bump to stop the fear of developing stretch marks. A lot people I knew were using particular oils which I I couldn't afford to use so decide to try this instead. Well I can safely say that it absolutely worked for me and did an amazing job at keeping my skin well moisturised and hydrated. I didn't get one stretch mark on my stomach at all ! I was quiet strict in that I tried to use it morning and night and I was generous in the amount I used also. It's a thick butter moisturiser, so I really felt it absorbed well on my skin, not to mention the lovely smell it had to it. My theory is that the combined olive oil mixed in with the butter type moisturiser was the key in keeping my tummy skin supple and moist. A product that I would highly recommend to any mother to be.

I thought I'd give this a go as I love the original Cocoa Butter but this isn't as good in my opinion. Firstly, I don't like the fragrance, which is very strong. It's also really thick and I've found it hard to spread over my body without dragging it on the skin. To use it up I'm basically just using it on my arms and legs for the SPF15 benefit.

It comes in green plastic bottle which is very easy to use. It has thick creamy texture with pleasant smell and applied smoothly on my skin. It absorb quickly with out leaving my skin greasy. It makes my skin soft and hydrated. I used it many time and it worked well with my dry sensitive skin with out causing any reaction. It made my skin silky and soft. I love this moisturiser even I used it on hands and they feel soft and hydrated .

I adore this scent and the colour of the moisturiser is a light pretty green which kind of matches the scent in my mind. This formula sinks in within a couple of minutes into my skin leaving it feeling moisturised and lightly scented. I'd buy this again just to have the scent all over my skin!

This is my favourite Palmer's product. I love it a tonne more than the cocoa butter formula. This glides on my skin so smoothly, and it absorbs within a few minutes. Just a tip though, make sure the pump doesn't have any product left oozing around it, as it will dry overnight, and you'll be left with some solid, dry bits of product clogging up the pump.

I found this product to have the same great moisturizing products as the cocoa butter lotion. Received this as a sample size and loved it however will be repurchasing the cocoa butter lotion simply because i like the smell of it more, so this product would be great for peOple who do not enjoy the cocoa scent.

Generally, I absolutely adore Palmers products. I liked the smell of this one, and had heard really good things about the effects of olive oil derivatives on the skin.

So, I started to use this after showering etc, and initially it seemed that my skin was just really dry still. As you can imagine, I felt compelled to use it more often, until I ended up with a terrible allergic reaction (especially on my legs) of a rash which started to weep serous fluid.

Fortunately, I didn't need to see a doctor for a prescription steroid cream as it subsided within a few days with just the application of an ointment from the Pharmacy...
