Perk up: instant beauty pick-me-ups

I haven’t had a proper meal since last Friday. In fact, I’ve been living off a few pieces of dry toast a day since the weekend. Am I on some crazy diet, you ask? I wish. After visiting glorious Thailand last week, the country left me with a wonderful parting gift; a gift that’s left my stomach very unhappy, and my body feeling drained and dehydrated.
So, in an effort to perk up not only my body, but my mind, senses and lifeless skin, too, I’ve rounded up five outstanding pieces of beauty loot that are making me feel just that little bit more human right now. And if you’re ever in the same boat – or just feeling a wee bit flat – I suggest you give them all a whirl, too...
PERFECT PRODUCT PICK-ME-UP #1: Aveda Certified Organic Comforting Tea Bags
With an aim to calm and promote a sense of wellbeing, this delicious tea is heaven for a tired, weary body. Better yet, it contains Certified Organic peppermint leaf, which is tummy-friendly. So go on, put the kettle on...
PERFECT PRODUCT PICK-ME-UP #2: ECOYA The Madison Jar in Lemongrass & Ginger
Ginger is a fantastic natural ingredient for sore, unsettled stomachs, but if you don’t think you can, um, stomach it right now, a ginger-scented candle is the next best thing, right? Well, that’s what I tell myself, anyway. This stunning natural soy wax candle also promotes a calm, relaxed environment, which is exactly what you need when you’re body’s telling you it’s time to put your feet up.
PERFECT PRODUCT PICK-ME-UP #3: Tranquileyes Puffy Eye Hydrating Formula
Said Thailand-induced stomach illness has left me with tiny red burst blood vessels all around my eyes. Charming, but true. My eye area in general is also rather dry and crepey. That’s why I love this nifty product. 20 minutes with this little gem on my eyes and its hydrating formula of cucumber, chamomile and aloe vera leaves my eye area looking a whole lot healthier. Now, if only those red spots would fade faster...
PERFECT PRODUCT PICK-ME-UP #4: Alpha-H Moisture Boosting Facial Mist
Just like my eye area, my skin is suffering from a lack of nutrients because of dehydration. This moisture-filled facial mist is an instant refresher, and leaves my dull complexion looking plumper and hydrated, and feeling a whole lot smoother. Oh, and its botanical goodness (read: lavender, chamomile and mandarin, orange and grapefruit extract) means it’s working hard to renew my skin long after I’ve stopped spritzing.
PERFECT PRODUCT PICK-ME-UP #5: Olive Leaf Extract in Mixed Berry
Not so much an instant fix, but a long term dose of goodness for my ravaged insides, this antioxidant-packed supplement tastes delish. Olive Leaf has been used as natural health remedy all over the world for years and years, and it is seriously good for you – even if you’re not currently feeling poorly.
Do you ever use beauty products as an instant pick-me-up when you’re feeling anything but flash? Have you tried any of these poorly-no-more gems? Which ones do you want to try?
Have you tried any of the products mentioned above?

I've tried the Olive Leaf Extract before, but obviously I didn't try the berry flavoured one, because the one I tried definitely did NOT taste nice, and the long-term benefits were somewhat ignored because of the terrible flavour :(

My favourite thing to do is to light a candle and just stare at the wick & focus on my breathing. It's one of the most effective ways of getting myself to relax & not stress.

I'd love to try numbers 3 and 4 in this list! A couple of pieces of crystallised ginger helps if I have a queezy tum.
