Reviewed: The Invisalign treatment
Like most brides-to-be, bh’s Nat has a checklist of things to do before her big day. And at the very top of her long list, is her smile. After all, she’s going to be grinning from ear to ear in front of a photographer all day!
Having never had braces as a kid, but always wanting straight teeth, her pending nuptials were the last push Nat needed to get her smile sorted, leading her to start her Invisalign treatment.
These were Nat’s teeth before she was fit with her aligners:
Nat is now more than halfway through her Invisalign treatment and in the video above she reviews the process from how it works, to the time commitment involved, and how the aligners affect her day-to-day. You can also see how much her teeth have moved since the beginning!
Invisalign® treatment is a series of clear plastic removable orthodontic aligners that gently move patients’ teeth. An orthodontist or Invisalign trained dentist will be able to advise whether Invisalign treatment is right for you. You should always read and follow their directions for use. In rare cases, allergies may occur.
Are you happy with your smile? What do you think of Nat’s progress?
Have you tried any of the products mentioned above?

My husband did invisalign and it had great results! It is not for everyone but we are so pleased with how well it worked for him.
They do a computer modelling of how it will look at the end, and in our experience a good orthodontist won't recommend it if you aren't a good candidate.

It's good that there's treatments like this in the market for those who need it. Thanks for the information.

I have just downloaded the info pack :) have a feeling my teeth are too crowded for this though. Would be nice to avoid braces.

I have finished my course of Invisalign and for the money I paid I wasn't exactly impressed. I would ahve liked my teeth to be perfectly straight however they are only slightly straighter. Plus having to wear the retainer forever is a bummer!

Usually they give you refinements until it’s perfect. Weren’t they offered to you? Did you wear your trays minimum 22 hours each day as advised?

I have a friend at work who uses it. She's used it for just over 12 months and swears buy it. You can't tell she's wearing it at all and her teeth look perfect.

What a great alternative to braces. No-one can tell she's wearing it so her confidence will remain high. Great to hear Hayley.

Yes I wish it had been around for one of my sons who had normal braces. Nonetheless I'm glad it is here for those that need it.

somewhere along the lines of 4 digits min and it also depends on how much correcting you'll need.

So wish I could do this. I've always been so self conscious of my smile. I used to put my hand over my mouth when I laughed. Just way too expensive unfortunately.

I thought the before pic wasn't very crooked, yet I can see change already. We're always conscious of even miniscule changes in our own mouths.

I admire anyone that goes through the difficulties with braces, or this type of treatment. I have such a strong gag reflex that I couldn't even consider it.

As a kid I had Braces...they never bothered me and I was never one to take on other kids teasing so they simply gave up and didnt bother with me.
So now I have lovely straight teeth.
I have the mouth guards from my teeth whitening though.

I agree with Cheap and Petite here - Invisalign also changed my life! I had AWFUL teeth and my orthodonist wanted me to do braces but I begged him to let me do Invisalign. 35 aligners later (and 4 teeth removed to make space for my wisdom teeth!) and my teeth are perfect! Unlike Nat though I found the process quite painful and my aligners were visible because I had attachments (porcelain 'knobs' that help the aligners grip to your teeth to rotate them). You do have to be dedicated and not slack off or you'll waste time and $$ - you have to wear them 22 hours a day so you have to immediately brush your teeth and aligners and put them in after every meal or drink that isn'y water.

Ive said it before, and ill say it again: INVISALIGN CHANGED MY LIFE. I just finished my 15 month treatment less than a week ago. I had extremely crowded teeth, and had 31 aligners with attachments on all teeth. I now have my permanent retainers in, and cannot stop smiling. I have had SO many compliments on the change in my teeth. I recommend Invisalign to anyone.
