9 things all girls who shave can relate to

Removing hair is a constant battle for women, with many of us choosing the razor as our weapon of choice. But as experienced shavers will know, this cost-effective and easy-to-use method has its ups and downs. And if you’re new to shaving, these are just some of the things you have to look forward to...
#1 That post-shave feeling
“I’m as slippery as a seal. A smooth, silky goddess. I’m never wearing pants again!”
Get it every time with this terrific trio:
#2 Cursing goosebumps
Aka those evil, little bumps that make your hairs stick up! Whenever there’s a slight wind, you find yourself rubbing your legs furiously and you also have to steer clear of anything heart-warming or inspiring.
#3 Finding the patch you missed
Usually around the knee area. No matter how meticulously you watch every stroke, you’ll always miss a spot. The worst is when it’s an entire strip up your leg.
#4 Forgetting to replace your razor
And then you go through the entire process of shaving your legs, underarms, EVERYWHERE before realising the blades are so blunt, it did nothing.
#5 Accidentally nicking yourself
“Whoops, seem to have hit a major artery here. I had no idea my ankle could contain so much blood. Would you look at that? Oh, that’s scabbing for sure.”
#6 Only shaving the area that will be showing
Especially since the midi-skirt trend came along. Why shave your entire leg when you can get away with just the ankle or only half your calf?
#7 Annoying red bumps
The rashy-looking reaction always happens at the worst of times. Like when you’re in a hurry to get to a party or didn’t think you’d be bringing someone home and had to do a rush job… Here’s how to stop them from appearing.
#8 The first shave post-winter
When you finally break out a new razor after weeks (sometimes months) of wearing pants and stockings to shed your winter coat. This usually involves rinsing the head after each stroke due to the sheer volume of fur that gets stuck between the blades. It’s bittersweet, really!
#9 Squeezing out ingrown hairs
Gross, I know. But also oddly satisfying. The real pain is trying to reach the ones protruding on your underarm.
If you’re not so fond of squeezing, Extract It and Bump eRaiser Medi Paste are lifesavers.

I just love 'the first shave post-winter' photo. Thankfully I'm not a hairy person so I don't need to shave too often and then it's only the places that can be seen.

OH MY GOD YES! I found the biggest patch I missed today...so annoying. Shaving in winter is hard too because I get cold and then goosebumps and then I look like I attacked my self with a knife :(

I hate when you're trying to get one last go out of a razor and it seems to do more harm than good to you. (Queue the stinging red skin attack) :(

Numbers 3 (UGH), 5 & 8 particularly stand out for me. I'm definitely letting my legs go this winter, although I have shaved them once or twice...it's not completely out of control.

I've never shaved my legs or underarms. Blades and I don't mix. LOL !!! If I have to, I'll attempt to wax my bikini line. I feel that once I start shaving various body parts, I won't be able to stop and it'll only be another beauty routine that I will have to do.

I can relate to most of these, conditioner is good to use instead of shaving cream and gives you a smooth and close shave.

I use conditioner or soap to make the razor glide smoothly.

Yes l can relate to some of these. The things we do for beauty! I have thought about waxing but just getting my eyebrows done (and it is only a little area) is bad enough, so l will have to keep shaving. Tried the creams could not stand the smell and thought they did not do a very good job - or it just might have been me! More likely it is me.

Very real article, I definitely shave only the areas which are seen. I shave my entire leg when I have a date or special event.
