More reasons to sleep naked

bh’s Liv has always been a big advocate of sleeping naked, but now there is an actual health reason for stripping off in the sack.
According to a US study in the Diabetes journal, sleeping in the nude could lower your risk of getting diabetes.
Senior author Francesco S. Celi said that over time, the study showed that sleeping in a cold bedroom could lessen the risk of diabetes by increasing the volume of calorie-burning ‘brown fat’ and improving insulin sensitivity.
In addition to this, sleeping naked may also prevent women from developing yeast infections, such as thrush (which loves warm, restricted environments).
But if that’s not enough incentive to go starkers (or at least wear something looser) in bed, consider how people who sleep naked also have happier love lives.
Yep, according to a survey of 1,000 British adults by a bed sheet company this year, 57 per cent of nude sleepers were happy with their relationship compared to 48 per cent of pyjama wearers and 43 per cent of nightie wearers. (FYI, onesie wearers were just 38 per cent.)
Now those are some stats you just can’t argue with!

I am a naturally cold person and would HATE to sleep in a cold room - whereas my partner loves to sleep in a cold room and sleeps naked! I generally hate sleeping naked and feel our liking for different temperatures in the bedroom is occasionally a source of friction because we like the temperature so differently - so there!

I've heard some similar things in the past about sleeping in the buff, however every time I have tried it I can't really sleep. I'm definitely a pj girl and nightie or singlets and underpants during summer.

This would be ok for couple's who like doing this & their sex life is great. I on the other hand prefer my pj's & sometimes I might even wear my underwear to bed but that is as far as it goes with me this would make me feel uncomfortable.

Well. Not sure if theres a cause and effect. Do people sleep naked because they have a better relationship to start off with, or do people sleeping naked leading to a happier relationship....

I always slept naked until one night when living overseas there was an earthquake where I lived in an upper level apartment, the bed was sliding across the room as the building swayed. We just had to bolt as the building felt like it was coming down. Never slept naked again!

Now that is a reason to not sleep starkers.

I had something similar! I was in Sydney staying in a hotel and the fire alarm went off at 2am! We all had to evacuate! I had to quickly find clothes, runners, wallet and ID... not good when I couldn't turn the lights on because there actually was a fire and the power was erratic!
