Ariel Winter just made the most body positive move on Twitter

Modern Family star Ariel Winter has long been an advocate for positive body image, but now she’s taken to Twitter to shut the body shamers down once and for all.
RELATED: Yep, even models get stretch marks
Addressing internet trolls who criticised the racy dress she wore to her high school graduation party, the actress has made it clear that she will dress exactly how she pleases, thank you very much.
Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress. And if you hate it, don't buy it. But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody

While we think it’s kind of sad that celebrities like Ariel are still having to spread the #stoptheshaming message, bh couldn’t agree more with her.

Photoshop, unrealistic marketing and advertising, and all the magazine articles on what NOT to eat are culprits too, not just the average "people" are to blame.

I think people just need to get over themselves and focus on their own lives for a change. If people stopped worry about what everyone else is doing and focus on being a good person and making those around you feel happy the world would be a better place. Who cares what some celebrity wore- if it makes you feel good you should be able to wear it and feel confident!

Unfortunately, I don't think that will shut down body shamers once and for all. I think she dealt with it really well though. I wish I was that body positive at her age.

Unfortunately, when you're in the public eye, there's always going to be something said whether it be good or bad.

It's good to see her being herself :) she's an young adult and can do what she likes, just because she's in the public eye doesn't mean she has to act or dress a certain way. It's nice to see her standing up for herself.

It's about time everyone gave up on the whole body shaming thing & finally admitted that we're all different and beautiful in different ways. I'm glad some celebs are continuing to spread the body positivity message!

I don't really like the dress she wore, but not because it is racy (I don't care for the colour). Ariel Winter looks hot in pretty much anything (and probably nothing, too). The idea that anyone would body shame her is ridiculous.

I saw this quote the other day and feel it's appropriate:
'I'm so pro-selfie,
There are so many bigger problems in this world then girls (and guys) who think they look pretty.
One of those problems is girls who don't think they are pretty enough.'
Ariel obviously felt amazing so people just need to back the truck up! The world needs more strong, confident girls who feel great in their skin whether tall, short, fat, skinny, bootylicious or whatever!
