Must-haves for moving in with a boy
So you've decided to take the plunge and move in together – congratulations! But even though you've decided that you're ready to move in together, I bet there's a whole host of things you hadn't considered about living together. As it turns out, moving in with someone presents a whole list of things to discuss before moving in together.
My mother always told me (and I must say, since moving in with The Boy it’s definitely ringing true), that sometimes boys don’t always know what they really want, or what they really need.

In the beauty/hygiene sense, I’m beginning to think my mum was just about spot on. You see, while my guy is about as tidy as they come, he has no solutions to his chapped lips in the lead-up to winter, he only possesses a beyond-basic bar of soap to wash with and has absolutely no idea how his smelly gym shoes are affecting the otherwise lovely smells I have tried hard to fill our place with.
So we've taken matters into our own hands here at beautyheaven and created a moving in together checklist of all the products you should arm yourself with if you’re moving in with your special guy. Not only will it benefit him, but your house and your sanity, too.
A FOOT FRESHENER
No matter how much he may believe the contrary, his gym shoes actually do smell. Rather awful, I might add. To nip this problem in the bud and save embarrassment, simply keep some Deo Foot Fresh handy. Formulated with natural organic ingredients, Deo Foot Fresh effectively kills odour-causing bacteria and leaves your feet smelling fresh.
A MULTI-USE BODY CREAM
Without their mums to help them, some boys are at a loss at what to do when dry, itchy skin strikes. Keeping a tube of Uriage Dermatological Care Cold Cream close by will ensure any dry or fragile skin on the face or body will be tended to effectively. The hypoallergenic formula contains 30 per cent thermal water and is fragrance free, too.

A LIP PRODUCT FOR HIM AND HER
Dry, chapped lips need not be a bother any longer. Carmex® lip balm jar provides your lips with a tingling sensation when first applied and works wonders when it comes to treating dry, fragile lips that are crying out for nourishment. The unisex balm is made of cocoa butter and waxes, and is enriched with camphor and menthol as well as salicylic acid for gentle exfoliation, so you’re left with silky-smooth lips.
A SCENT TO PLEASE ALL SENSES
Finding a candle or room spray that will impress both sexes is certainly a hard task and, as a result, setting the mood becomes near impossible. Do yourself and your loved one a favour by opting for a neutral scent that you’ll both enjoy. Citrus notes may be just what you need. They’re a pleasing alternative to a typically girly fruity floral fragrance and typically masculine, woody scents. MOR Emporium Candle in Feijoa Lime is ideal. With zesty notes of feijoa, citrus, pear blossom, apple, leaf and vanilla, not only will your home smell bloomin’ amazing, it’ll smell fresh and clean, too.
A HIS/HERS BODY WASH
If you’re trying to keep your bathroom area uncluttered, it may help to stick to bath and body products of the unisex variety. If he hasn’t got the faintest idea about what he should be using on his skin, why not introduce him to Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Body Wash? The lemongrass scent is invigorating and a great scent for both men and women, and the eucalyptus offers antibacterial and antiseptic properties that you’ll both enjoy.
Which products do you think are most benificial in this kind of living situation? Do you use any unisex products?
