Get the look: darlings of Down Under
It’s Australia Day week and what better way to celebrate than with a day off work and some make-up looks to master from our very own home-grown beauties? And don’t worry ladies, there’s one in here to keep your boys busy too so they won’t feel left out – now that’s what I call good Aussie spirit!
Fresh and feminine with Miranda Kerr
Make-up: This Australian beauty combines a fresh face with a touch of feminine colour and the results are nothing less than gorgeous! To start, line the outer corner of your upper lashes with Max Factor Kohl Pencil in Charcoal Grey before sweeping a neutral shade across your entire lid and under your bottom lashes. Next, use a shimmering soft metallic liner (we like Mavala Switzerland Crayon Lumiere) to highlight the inner corner of each eye before applying your fave mascara. Finish by dusting the apples of your cheeks with a peach-hued blush and slicking your lips with a red-tinted gloss like Prestige Cosmetics Vinylwear in Varnish.
Hair: Miranda’s tumbling tresses are nothing short of fabulous (giving us yet another reason to envy the Victoria’s Secret model). To re-create her curls, wind your hair around Remington Body Waves (H1080N) hot rollers and allow it to set while you do your make-up. Once ready, remove the rollers and loosely run your fingers through your locks to produce a subtle touseled look. Add a spritz of Taft Styling Flexible Hairspray, Strong Hold to ensure your style stays and you’re ready to go!
