The genius way to break in heels

Have you ever snapped up some sassy new shoes, only to find your feet covered in blisters after that first wear?
Yeah, it’s the worst. And a very real beauty struggle.
That’s why we were so psyched to hear some amazing advice from celeb stylist June Ambrose this morning.
Speaking to allure.com, she told what she does when she has a new pair:
"To make sure I don't get any bruising, I spray deodorant on my feet so they don’t sweat when I’m breaking the new pair of heels in.
“It keeps feet dry, because if your skin gets wet, and then the friction hits that wetness, and it starts to open up the skin. That’s why you get blisters."
So a spritz of deodorant could be all you need to prevent those post-party pains.
If you ask me, this trick, combined with Kendall Jenner’s clever tact, could spell the end to our woes.
I will be testing it out ASAP!
Have you tried this heel trick? Do you have any other tips for dealing with new shoes?

Sorry! I'd rather buy shoes that actually fit me properly than resort to silly "hacks"! Or is that just being too normal!

I tried this but found it did not work. Maybe it depends on the deodorant (or specific ingredients)?? Or maybe my feet are just crazy-level sweaty! :)

Have you tried any of the Neat 3B products? Priceline stock them, and they're antiperspirants for various parts of your body.

I had the strangest thing when wearing wedges the other day. My toes blistered but not my ankles because of the peeptoe. I have to tape my toes next time

If I need to 'break in' new shoes, they're not comfortable enough for me :( It's not worth the pain any more so I buy really comfy shoes.

That's exactly the way I feel. They simply have to be comfortable from the beginning.

Interesting. I use a stick deodorant (I find sprays don't work as effectively for me) - might need to purchase a spray to try this out!

I don't know about heels but with all shoes I try to wear them around the house for a couple of hours a day (for a few days before needing to wear them) with thick socks on to stretch them a bit! Definitely helps!

There is a product called foot glide- it's amazing, it looks like a deodorant stick, but smaller, perfect to pop in your handbag. It also stops your feet from puffing up and provides just a little bit of 'lube' for your foot to slide into the shoe and stop rose pinchy bits. I have wide feet and it allows me to stretch out my new stupidly high yet gorgeous heels which are just a touch to narrow without crippling myself! And I can wear 10cm heels all day without wanting to die! I have had the same stick for years so it lasts forever! I can't remember where I got it from but if you are a big heel fan Google it and find some, it's a lifesaver
