9 things girls with big feet can relate to

I’ve always been a fairly average size. My height, weight, head-to-body ratio etc. are well proportioned (to my knowledge), yet there’s one thing that always gets a shock-horror reaction from friends and sometimes even shoe retailers…
I have size 10 feet.

Is this abnormal? Because I feel like if it was, the size wouldn’t exist. But it does. And there are sizes even bigger than this, yet people often seem bewildered by it. So on behalf of girls with big feet everywhere, the truth is it’s NOT weird, so please stop with the following word vomit.
Do you have to shop in the men’s shoe section?

We may not be able to buy cheap kid sizes anymore, but we’re not that far gone...
Is it hard for you to wear high heels?

I’m the opposite- I’m a size 5, which comes with its own problems!

Lol funny. My sister's feet aren't big but very wide, so she has problems in the shoe department.

Depending on the shoe I sometimes need an 11. When I ask I usually get a bewildered look, you'd swear blind I had in fact requested a gluten free wheat beer.

Yep. Size 10. I have bigger feet than my husband. But then most people have bigger feet than my husband. So no, body size does not correlate to shoe size. I am overweight though. In my skinny days I used to be a size 9-9and a half.

Interesting article I find is hard to find my big shoe size. I'm a size 10 and hated going shoe shopping. It's always so hard to find shoes in your size because it's extremely competitive! There must be lots of women with big feet, we dont have petite Asian feet.

My problem is not just the length- size 9, but the width -EE. I find it impossible to find heels and sandles because my feet hang over the edges. finding odd sized shoes is so difficult and expensive.

I'm a size 10 and hated going shoe shopping. It's always so hard to find shoes in your size because it's extremely competitive! For goodness sakes, just make more shoes in all sizes, not just the mid-range!

Hahahahaha the last one! I'm a size 3-4 so getting heels for my feet is either difficult or expensive.

I am not tall (166cm) but I am 9-10. My feet are so wide so I need to wear any type of heel that straps my feet in. I find boots suit my feet best. People do make comments, especially when you try on shoes. And I have no one in my family to share shoes with

I am thankful I have average size feet. Having a larger foot size can prove to be a problem for some women unfortunately.

I have size 12 feet. and they are wide as well. I have had female colleagues who have looked at my feet in horror and exclaming how awful it must be for me to have such huge feet. I am unsure why people would even think that is ok to say!
I am phobic of shoe shops stemming from my childhood when my feet were large for my age and there were never any children's shoes that would fit me!
I enjoyed reading this article it made me laugh. thanks for writing it!

People can be just dumb....just be proud of what you own! I love my 'big' feet (big to whom anyways? In comparison to what? Tiny aliens? ).

I have size 9 feet depending on the brand. Sometimes 9.5 and 10. I believe one foot is slightly smaller than the other which can be tricky finding the right pair of shoes. No other problems... not that we should right?

I suppose I must be average - 6.5 or 7 depending on the shoe, so I don't have a problem with big feet. Although I swear my feet increased in size during pregnancy and remained that way.
