Editing this as it contains old info.....
Australian Survivor 2019 starts Wednesday 24th July.
The Bachelor AU starts Wednesday 31st July.
I’ll be looking forward to your recaps after every show Seashells and if anyone hasn’t watched it yet, they’re not a fan!
I’ve scored fireman Jamie in my $2 office sweep - don’t like my chances!
Last night was hilarious and I’ve ditched Love Island after tuning in to Episode 1 - could not endure another episode.
I haven’t watched it yet and I’m a fan! Damn school holidays!! Hopefully tomorrow I get to it. Have avoided this thread all day so far and haven’t read Sea’s recap yet.
Oops! Damn school holidays Anne.
It’s not the Australian Survivor but I’m watching the US Survivor Island of the Idols - tonight is episode 3 on nines ch99.
My mum rang me when episode 1 started and I hit record!
Idols refers to two past winners (think they both won twice) Rob and Sandra who return to an island to mentor (one at a time) contestants sent there - one from each tribe has been and all the others are unaware!
And they are also secretly watching the tribal vote and commenting - interesting to watch!
Speaking of Survivor (the Aussie one), here's the first 8 returning castmates for the upcoming All Stars edition, which will go to air in February, as announced at 10's Upfronts event yesterday:
I also read in the comments section of the TV Tonight blog that apparently a full list of all 24 returning castmates has been leaked. There'll be 5 each from Seasons 1 & 4, 7 each from Seasons 2 & 3. I haven't seen the list and tbh, I don't want to see the list as I kinda want to keep myself in suspense, but I'm just hoping that All Stars won't be a dud. I doubt it will be, given that everyone's favourite fake yoga instructor + the Golden God are both back.
Recap of last night's episode:
As soon as Carlin said he needed to tell Angie about something, I thought "he's either been married or has a kid" & sure enough, I was right on the money. I won't completely spoil what he said for those of you who haven't watched it, but let's just say we have shades of a former Bachelorette winner here. ;o)
Jamie is going to morph from Jarrod 2.0 into Charlie 2.0 by the next episode. Mark my words!
Any man who has his nickname as a back tattoo should know how to take a joke. Seems like the irony was completely lost on Warwick/Wazza at that group date last night. He carried on like an absolute chook lol. No wonder he said he wasn't going to get Instagram just for the purposes of the show...probably didn't want everyone coming for him after he acted like a petulant child.
As for Jess....gosh, there's so much I could say here, but all I will say is (a) I am so so glad that the producers didn't beg Angie to keep him in there any longer after the despicable way he acted both on the group date and at the cocktail party, (b) it was incredibly heartening to see the boys both feel uncomfortable with Jess and call him out on the s*** he was saying (although really, men should be doing this all the damn time) & (c) I'm glad Angie threw Jess in the bin where he rightfully belongs.
As much as I detest cancel culture, Jess is going to receive the full force of it & deservedly so. Unfortunately his behaviour is (and has been) all too common out there when it comes to blokes & in this post Me Too era, he has to expect that people are going to call him on it & he should face the full consequences of his actions. Looks like Noosa's mayor agrees, if this article is anything to go by: https://10daily.com.au/news/australia/a191010jwvsk/jess-glasgow-asked-to-immediately-resign-after-crude-misogynistic-bachelorette-appearance-20191010
I’m up to date!
God Jess was a dick.
Jamie is not going to last at all, he’s too over the top and agree with Sea that he will turn into Charlie next episode.
I like Timm but don’t see him being a long term relationship for her.
Ciarran is going to be interesting to watch I think, I feel like there will be another gentler side to him that will come out on private moments but the funny goofball will also keep her interested.
Carlin won’t last I think.
Loving her as bachelorette so far.
I'm enjoying watching Angie, but I expected to. From what I've seen so far, she doesn't come across as fake or pretentious. I thought that it was a brilliant move to have her brother in his undercover role. I was surprised that he went home so quickly.
I wish he had stayed longer too, and that they hadn’t told the contestants he was there until he left. That would have been a lot of fun!
Completely agree! I think a lot of viewers wanted the same thing.
Have only seen Angie on GoggleBox and she seems very down to earth and genuine, what you see is what you get. Hope she finds love, she seems like a lovely person.
Thoughts on last night's somewhat underwhelming ep (might've been underwhelming for me as I had trouble trying to watch it - stupid TV kept mucking up picture & sound again):
Single date was only memorable for Angie being reminded that she suffers from motion sickness & then later saying she'd brushed her teeth, so she & Jackson should kiss. Oh & Jackson telling her she could spew into his top pocket if she wanted. That's all I remember tbh.
Ryan seems ok. Not sure if he'll win Angie's heart though, despite what they have in common (i.e. a love for rescue dogs).
Jamie has now officially morphed into Charlie 2.0, with a side of Abbie. (In the sense that he ain't there for the bros, he's there for Angie.)
I think Timm could get annoying soon with the whole "bro code" stuff + jealous vox pops.
Shouldn't have been surprised to hear Ciarran has had a nose job, he's the most image conscious dude I've seen in a while. Still enjoying him like a dirty street pie though and I know I'm not the only one who has fallen for his charms.
Mitch...please....you should've gone on the group date! As Mat Whitehead from 10 daily pointed out, Jamie Lee went in a frickin' moonboot to a group date on the Honey Badger's season and you become so precious over a rolled ankle that you decide not to go, only to bitch about your lack of time with Angie later? Where's the logic mate? No wonder she sent him home, especially after the ultimatum he gave her. And they say that The Bachelor is full of drama....I think the boys bring it just as much, if not more tbh!
I wondered why Angie went in the helicopter when she knew there was the potential for her to get motion sickness. Surely she could have asked the producers to organise an alternative date.
Angie seems to be a smart woman, so hopefully she realises how obsessive Jamie is towards her.
Thursday night recap on what I consider the best Bachelorette episode ever and one I might even go & re-watch today because I enjoyed it so much:
Like Angie's brother Brad, I wish Yvie was on for more than just 1 episode. Love that woman & the roasting she gave Carlin when she & Angie talked one-on-one was hilarious. It was like the good ol' days of Gogglebox again & it reminded me of why I love the pair of them together. It was gold & I laughed a lot.
Um, hello Ciarran! Already knew the man had a nice tush (remembered that from his opening package on the first night), but I'm sure some eagle-eyed viewers would've noticed just how censored his meat & 2 veg were lol. I just love his confidence & zero f's attitude about what anyone thinks of him, right down to speaking to Yvie, still in the buff, with a bunch of fake grapes covering his bits. The man has chutzpah & I love it!
Jamie Jamie Jamie....could you get any more cringe? I definitely got the Jarrod vibes again when he walked up to Angie & Ryan to interrupt/sit in on their conversation, except I don't recall Jarrod pulling an embarrassing stunt like that on his season & then turning around saying that he had a great conversation with his Bachelorette.
Timm is a hypocrite (what happened to not cutting someone's grass at the cocktail party hmmmmm?) & a weirdo (glad he got a single date, but man there were some odd moments on that date), but I still love him. Just like Ciarran, I can't entirely explain why I love Timm either, but I do. Only on the Australian version of this show would you hear someone utter the immortal words: "I froth ya"". I love him & Angie together & I feel like he will either win her heart or get extremely close to doing so.
I agree with you on all counts!! I hope Jamie goes home in the next episode the lingering when she is clearly disgusted by him bothers me. She even called his actions a "little creepy".
I loveddddd Ciarran he's just able to be himself and unapologetically himself which, is what Angie wants so I feel like they are definitely a pretty good match.
I hope Yvie comes back again!! She was a riot.
Dog park guy seems alright, but seems a bit dry/serious for her taste. Will be interesting to see how that one goes too.
It's like she has a split of funny/weird guys and then serious/responsible guys, so it'll be quite the finale depending on who ends up for hometowns.
I don't need to watch these shows, I can just come on the forum and live vicariously through all of it.
Thoughts on this week's episodes:
We all knew Ciarran & Timm were going to ace the stand-up comedy group date. Let's face it, they're the 2 most amusing blokes in the house. I did feel a bit sorry for Harley Breen (who I have seen live & is pretty damn funny, if rather coarse in his language), who probably felt like a fish out of water being there, despite his occupation.
Speaking of our favourite long-haired Brit, he definitely came out a winner again this week, with the alone time with Angie & then a solo date with her. I think it's safe to say that Australia loves him, judging by all the thirsty Tweets I've read from people.
Not entirely surprised by who went home Wednesday night, but I definitely thought Glenn should've hung around instead of Jamie on Thursday. That said I have seen Glenn say he felt no spark with Angie, so I guess it makes sense that he went.
Speaking of the creepazoid, Jamie needs to go NOW. I'm sick of him talking about himself in the 3rd person (although I suspect that's largely due to goading from producers) & I'm sick of him being so obsessed with Angie. I'm also sick of him playing the victim all the damn time - mate, you threw yourself under the bus with that chat with Angie on Thursday night! And to then make a big call by saying there were only 3 genuine dudes in the house, but then not back up that big call with names....ay ay ay. Angie was definitely right to call him out in that instance. I hope it's him who leaves in the car before the rose ceremony in the next episode...but not before dropping a whole lot of bombs everywhere.
Liked seeing Angie's parents come in on Thursday night; guess she means business with this process. Not surprised about what they said about Timm (as much as I love him, I know he'd annoy the crap out of me too), but I am surprised that they seemed to somewhat praise Ciarran. I think Carlin got a booster shot with their comments about him too.
I think I now have an idea of Angie's top 4 - Ciarran, Ryan, Carlin & Timm - but I've still not got a firm idea of who she might end up with out of those 4.
Speaking of Ryan, is it just me or do I not see them working as a couple? I find him a bit boring tbh. I didn't feel a spark on their single date at all; it all just felt....meh. I know she likes him because she was all "blah blah blah yackety schmackety" when her dad told her what the boys had said about Ryan, but I just can't see it at all.
Agree with everything you have said and on your last point on Ryan (I thought I was the only one, but I find him quite dull). It's like he's missing energy even when expressing that he really likes her and where it's going etc it's as though it's all one note.
I really like this season though and besides not getting rid of Jamie yet (which is 99.9% not her doing), she's been very bold and very on point with everything.
Also her parents picked up everything so quickly, which further hones in on everyone's opinions being accurate.
Finally in the mood/headspace to do this week's recap:
I really can't remember much from Wednesday's episode, for all the drama that went on. I think there was that daddy day care single date where Jackson won the alone time (probably to Jamie's chagrin since he was technically first over the line....too bad his mannequin had all its limbs + its head missing lol), but that's all I recall from that.
Well Jamie certainly tried to drop some bombs didn't he? I'm inclined to disbelieve him on all the Carlin stuff; but given that someone gets caught out lying in next Wednesday's episode, I wouldn't be surprised if that accusation was true.
Speaking of Jamie, glad he finally got the boot Thursday night. His schtick was getting tedious & even more cringe-y by the end. That said, he certainly seems to be having fun with all the attention he's getting i.e. people making memes about him & the like. He wants them to keep going because they're making him laugh.
Timm sneaking up on Angie & Ryan at Thursday's cocktail party, then creepin' like Luke from Aus Survivor was kinda amusing.
What wasn't amusing was seeing Australia's new boyfriend Ciarran bowing out on Thursday night. RIP to his nan - that whole scene with him saying goodbye to Angie was heartbreaking. There has been a rumour floating around that he rejoins the show at the top 3 stage & goes on to the finale but doesn't win. I don't really believe that (again, the first part of this rumour came out of Jamie's mouth, so automatically you want to discredit him), buuuuuuuuut you never know with this show.
What also wasn't amusing was seeing how awkward Timm was on his 2nd single date with Angie on Thursday night. That date was a disaster, but at least it had a better ending.
We're on the home stretch now & I can't wait to see who Angie ends up with. Fingers crossed that it's not Ryan!
I have a bad feeling she is going to end up with Ryan and it will be such an anti climax to an awesome season.
I wanted Ciarran to win, so I want the rumors that he returns to be true, but he has had interviews saying he regrets leaving and has not talked to Angie since, so it seems unlikely. Honestly Ciarran being so in touch with his own feelings and displaying his grief as well as coming across really selfless just ripped my heart out but was so refreshing. I don't think he will have any problems finding a girl
If the ads for Wednesday's episode are anything to go by, she might not end up with Ryan after all. Then again, who knows.
One can only hope. I know he loves dogs, but he seems so bland outside of that. Then again, I don't know of who is left who I want to win anymore. Slim pickings for poor Angie.
I'm still betting on Timm ftw, or Ciarran making that comeback as rumoured.
I saw rumours that Ciarran is back with his ex and going on BIP (and his ex is going on BIP too).
Seen those rumours too, along with all the other castmates rumoured to be going on it. TBH the casting couldn't be any worse than last season, but I did have to wonder "where are all the dudes?" because there were mostly ladies on that supposedly "leaked" list.
Benefit's Hoola bronzer is by far the favourite bronzer that I've tried so far. It's so easily blendable and gives a really natural bronzed glowy look to my skin.
I've used Gimme Brow for years now, and it is by far one of my holy grail products. Not being very talented at brows this product has been a lifesaver for a quick fix which looks great.
I found this lip product in of Priceline's many gift bags they make available every year.
