Does anyone know the best remedy for getting rid of baby's dry skin. My little girl has dry skin all over her body at the moment. Thanks : )
I wouldn't be too concerned darl, I read that you have just had the bub, it is extremely common especially if the bun was in the oven a little long, hehe, it will clear up really fast, just use gentle skincare products, try to stick to all natural and steer clear of the product riddled with chemicals like Johnsons etc.
My baby girl was the same when she was about 3-4wks old her skin got dry ( shes 6mths now) I used QV bath oil in the bath and Gaia body wash - they worked really well for her. I didn't like Johnsons it made it worse.
Hi Tayler, like mel said i wouldn't worry too much about her skin as most babies do suffer from it, probley because they have been in our moist tummies for a fair while so i suppose they have to dry out so to speak. I would do as DanniiBeauty suggested and bathe her in QV bath oil. enjoy your bundle of joy while she is little because they grow up so darn quick
I just thought to mention - you can also use QV lotion on her skin after a bath. QV is great for babys skin.
Babys skin is too sensitive handle them with outmost care
My mum used to put rolled oats into the end of a stocking, run the bathwater through the stocking so that the water becomes cloudy. You can then use the oats, that are now soggy in the stocking to rub over the skin, this is a safe and gentle method to help dry skin conditions.
Hi Tayler, first of all congrats on your new baby! My son was two weeks overdue and I was induced so he was a little "overcooked" so to speak LOL. I used QV bath oil for him and it worked really well. Just be careful though as it can make bubs and the bath itself very slippery!
My little girl has dry skin too and my pedetrician reccomended plain old Sorbolene. Robyn Barker (author of the best selling book Baby Love) also reccomends that since it doesn't have all the nasty chemicals in it. Definately stay away from Johnson's stuff - look at the ingredients list on the packet - its a mile long!
I always put a few drops of baby oil in my son's bath water after ive finished cleaning him. He soaks/splash around in it for a few min's before taking him out.
You just have to make sure he doesnt splash it into his eyes. I find it easier then rubbing moisturse on a wiggle baby :)
I have used Glam brushes for the last few years because of their quality and affordability but they have just released brushes in Conjunction with Bec & Bridge that are leopard print and they a
I tried the Naturopathica Collagenix Beauty Dust for around a month and I really enjoyed it as far as Collagen supplements go.
I love the packaging of this product. It is leak proof and small enough to carry everywhere without worrying about it being bulky.
