has any one used a cellulite cream or lotion etc that has actually changed the look of their body? do they really exist as they say? if so which product?
Ive tried a few creams but ive found the mary kay cellushape daytime body lotion & night time gel really does work...i was quite skeptical at first till my partner revealed that he thought my skin looked firmer and this was after just a couple of weeks. Ive also tried the dove range....but didnt get a result like this:)
Cellulite is so hard to get rid of,
the best thing is drinking lots of water,
excercise, and skin brushing in the shower everyday,
with a body bush you can pick up from Priceline.
I skin brush my thighs 5/7 days a week, and hardly got any
cellulite, like anything you have to keep it up,
I've tried creams, but I find this the best method.
any idea how much the mary kay cream is?? ive tried body brushing but find it too harsh on my sensitive skin :(
gemini thanks for reminding me! :) i used to use one of those cellulite rubbing things - you know with the hard rubber 'fingers' from priceline (they cost between $2-5) and it really worked! but you have to be diligent and do every day or every other day... i've become very slack indeed! - angela, one of those 'rubber finger thingies' should be ok on your skin cos there is no scrubbing involved, its more like deep tissue massage...
I have used the Avon Lift & Tuck and the Cellu Sculpt and initially you really notice a difference, but you need to do every day - the tube says 2 times a day which I just dont have time for, but just using every day you go through the tube really quickly!
I agree with gemini69 and a cream alone isn't going to get rid of cellulite. you need to increase your fluid intake and avoid eating too much sugary foods and using a body brush is great.
Just looking at women with cellulite makes me very commited to skin brushing,
get to much cellulite, makes it so darn hard to get rid of, plus its good for lymphatic system..
I don't believe in those cellulite creams. It's almost impossible to remove cellulite by using a cream.
Yes lots of water & and good diet in general with plenty of fibre helps to keep toxins from storing as cellulite. But as an extra thing I do I use any cream I have on hand and daily rub into my skin and I find this daily light massage of the skin also helps to increase circulation and thus help release toxins from cellulite prone areas into the bloodstream. Any moisturiser does the trick but it should be atleast daily (if possible). I'm 39 and I don't have much at all and some would argue that I have none.
Does it really.. work,
how much is a good cellulite cream...??
Ok, I got the cellulite rubbing thing from Priceline and have been using every day for 4 days and my skin is already back to being nice and smooth, like vanessa some people would say I didn't have any/much to begin with... but I do drink about 3 litres of water a day, I drink a couple of cups of tea, plus at night a couple of cups of chamomile tea, I walk as much as I can and I have a flight of 20 stairs just to go up and down at least 20 times a day at home... i don't eat junk, i do have the occasional treat or homemade cupcake... so gemini69 THANKS A MILLION :) for reminding me about that! I used to do it religiously from the time I was about 18, but being a mum I just seemed to forget about some of these things I used to do...
Avon Cellu Sculpt is really good - when I first started using that even though I didn't really have much/any cellulite, I seemed to 'lose' an inch or so around my thighs and things in general fitted better around my hips and tummy! So no idea if this was coincidence or not... gotta get some more of that...
I have just started using the Avon Cellu Sculpt so im hoping it will work. i dont have much cellulite but i do have a little and i want to firm by tighs up more, so hopefully this will help.
I've actually added to my routine the Garnier Cellulite Massaging Rollerball,
It rolls on and u just rub the rest in with ur hand, it has a tingly sensation and feels really nice.
I apply this after my morning shower.
I feel this has helped to tone the skin and give it that added extra Omph..
watched a show on tv the other day and its scientifically impossible to rempove celluite by lotiona and creams its where the skin tissues become uneven or something then only wat to make it go is to add muscle and tighten the skin
I have always thought they were gimmicky. I have never used them or really needed to. The best thing to tone and tighten your thighs is by doing a spin cycle class - I lost 6cm of both thighs in just 8 weeks. Cycle classes are tough but my God they work! Seriously girls - get pedalling!
I've also heard from a doctor that you can't beat cellulite from the outside with creams and stuff - the food you eat, water, your skin tissue, etc is what determines how much you'll get and where it will hit.
i dry skin brush and make a massage oil with juniper, cypress, fennel, carrot seed and rosemary essential oils, i make it to 2.5% dilution which is pretty standard and it breaks the cellulite up really well. the essential oils increase circulation, act as diuretics, strengthen the veins and capilliaries and basically just get the gunk moving. i see a really big difference with in 2 weeks if i am religious about it.
I've tried quite a few creams, lotions and serums but none of them really worked (for me, anyway). I only saw results after a course of Accent XL treatments (www.slenderbody.com.au). At lease there is hope :-)
andri25's previous post is spam, which I've reported.
Just looking at the pretty packaging makes me smile. The glass bottle , the peachy colored oil and the gold flakes dancing around in the oil looks so luxurious.
