From the 24 selected in this years Australian Idol who do you want to win?
Madam Parker and Tham Bui will be in the finals, what do you think?
this show gets worse each year.... wish they canned it !
i hate those shows, i don't watch anything that is no good. you guys should get cable tv
thank god americas next top model is back on ten
i kno it is old eps!
i sometimes wonder what goes through the judges minds. i think most of the people in are feral. the talent seems to be dwindling.
bring back SYTYCD.
ps, i still end up watching the performance and elimination shows, so i still get sucked in, i just don't vote.
I have very rarely watched this show - only watched minimal amounts when I had nothing better to do! Having said that, I actually watched about half hour of it last weekend - and there's a singer called Mark who is UNBELIEVABLE!! I can't believe how good his voice is - he sung an amazing song playing acoustic guitar with it - and I think he's incredibly talented (the judges were also very impressed). So this guy has my full support - and I may actually tune in again simply to see him - so hope he wins!
sorry i am gonna be mean but i dont mean to be.... and where will he be in 12mths time!
Yeh I know what you're saying - Idol is pretty crap at actually helping to develop long term careers...tho some have done it so fingers crossed for him!
all non winners have had better careers!
I know! Funny that?! Actually now that you reminded me of that, I don't want him to win - he can come runner up! I think Idol restricts them into being cookie-cutter pop stars instead of letting them be themselves - so they fizzle out coz they sound the same as a hundered other people out there! So stupid...!
I love watching the auditions, and I love the show but sometimes the votes really surprise me.
Arghh I used to love watching australian idol and would wait around for it to come on during the year. Now I couldnt care less when its on. It seems that it gets worse every year as it goes on in my opinion. Abit strange that its still classified as australian idol when they have gone to other parts of the world to seek talent, is that supposed to tell australia something?
Those shows are funny to watch. But they can get annoying at times. Like Big Brother, it used to be exciting, then i realized it's the same thing each time it's back on TV.
True the first few seasons of BB I enjoyed watching, loved all thw twists and suprises and the diversity amongst the housemates. Then as it went on into its later seasons it just started to get boring and repetitive. It had no spontaneity even though they tried to make it different. I think any tv show after a while with the same idea gets boring.
I agree with Alexarose2510. Those shows do become repetitive, that's why i like cable TV. Each channel offers a wide variety of shows each one is more interesting than the next.
I rarely watch Idol but it was on whilst making dinner one night without the rude wanna be sandilands.
There were 3 people I want lurv to hear sing together, the baker, the 16yr old girl with a huge voice, the shy kiwi girl who had a range that is yet to be challenged. They are simply an amazing group of people who will excel further with guidance and to reach the level they are today without training is stating the obvious they will be watched with keen interest.
Thank goodness that Mark Holden is no longer on the panel now all they need to is guide sandilands or remove him altogether!
i honestly think this year is the last year!
I actually think that serious musicians are realising it's a great platform to get noticed - and in this day and age it's just another way to get your name out there - no different to all those singers that launch themselves from MySpace or similar. And many of them have been trying for years to break into the market - Idol gives them an extra chance. I think this year is the best yet - Wes, Sophie, Roshani and Madam are all awesome singers (plus a few others I can't remember). They only went to London to look for more Aussies (not that you have to be Australian to be on it)
I love watching shows like Idol - it's better than all the other crap thats on like all those Crime dramas (CSI, SVU - who wants to watch rapes and murder every night???)
i havent watched it this year because it is on a digital channel in tasmania and i dont usually watch it. but i think it is a good show, a lot of the ppl on it have had some sort of career some even like dan o connor went into acting for a while. i think it wont be the same without mark tho!
I don't really have any objection to the show, it just doesn't appeal to me very much...
I'll agree with those Next Top Model and SYTYCD fans :] They're both brilliant shows.
yep, i second that. i absolutely love SYTYCD and ANTM! im also not a fan of aussie idol but i like thanh. he has a really nice voice. i persoanlly think that cable tv is a waste of money too...
woo i love australian idol lol
from the first day i saw Wes, i said 'he is definately going to be in the finale and win!!' now lets just wait and see lol so far so good ;p
Australian Idol does indeed get worse and worse, i really prefer America
