So, I really want to start carrying around with me a travel perfume in my handbag, I've looked everywhere and cannot find anyone that sells them!!!
I love marc jacobs so is there any tips on where to get them from?
You can often ask at perfume counters in Myer and David Jones for little test samples of your fave fragrances, otherwise you should try rollerball or solid perfumes.
I've written a few articles on each you can read here:
Jo Malone colognes are also available in 30mL size, which is really great for chucking in your bag! I included this in my top travel essentials kit video, which you can watch here:
Hope that helps! xx
Forget a travel sized perfume, get yourself a Perfume Atomiser!
I just got one for Christmas, it's amazing! You literally take the top off any perfume and fill up the container. It's easy to use, and there's less risk of smashing a glass bottle. Plus you can get any perfume you want without having to hunt down travel size perfumes.
I carry MOR Marshmallow. I love the smell and I buy the little roller ball so I can just throw it in my bag.
I was talking about my $2 atomiser from the Reject Shop just a few days ago on the "My Scent Wears Off" thread here: http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/forums/fragrance/my-scent-wears-off?
I love the body shop oils. They're great to carry in the handbag. Sephora have a range of department store fragrances in portable cylinders for travel. I can't recall if they were rollerball or mists.
Agree with you
I carry a L'Occitane rollerball with me in my clutch everywhere I go. I interchange between the Cherry Blossom and Roses et Reines (I believe these are the only two they currently sell in rollerball form). They're not expensive. Great stocking fillers. The scent also lasts way longer than a perfume mist. With most perfumes, you need to apply them to your "chakra" points, e.g. inner elbow, neck, behind your knees, wrists. They last longer if you apply a body oil/moisturiser to the point prior to applying the perfume.
If you love MARC JACOBS, they have a rollerball trio - so three different scents in travel tubes that are decently sized, along with a cute slim pouch to keep one in while you're travelling. Just search "Marc Jacobs Rollerball Trio" on google and it should show up with a link to the MYER website. I think it's a steal for $20/rollerball. You can go in store and get it too!
Here's a picture! <3
Demeter make great travel size atomisers of perfume oils in a wide variety of their scents. Easy to find, and affordable, on sites like Fragrancenet.
Also highly recommend MOR, they have the most gorgeous perfumes, and you can pick up a really decent size perfume oil roll-on in most of their scents for under 20 dollars. You'll find these at Myers
I find the biggest thing is finding ones in small enough bottles that aren't going to be confiscated at airports
Valentino makes a cute 4 pack of the Valentia range it's cute and I love how I can travel with it easily. I.usually pick one up at Xmas as they release them around this time or possibly they do for Valentines Day? They are EDP and 4ml each.
I got a chi chi pack at Christmas and it had a bottle and four little "travel tubes" in them. It was great value and I love all the fruity scents. I would recommend the chi chi range at target.
Check out gift sets too, (I brought a Rhianna gift set and it had a little travel perfume with it too)
Victoria's Secret! So gorgeous and have travel sizes that fit in your purse
You can try Jo Malone London: Mimosa and Cardamom Cologne that available 30mL.
Has anyone tried the fragrances from Kmart?
I only noticed them in store and tested. I'm not too sure of the names but they smell so nice! Plus, they're really cheap!
I picked up Rituelle Mimosa and Cherry Blossom petit parfum 15ml from forever new for about $14 and it's amazing. Perfect for travel/handbag and cheap!
Some smell great and then smell nasty an hour or two later and I hate that. Happy to report Rituelle doesn't do this. It doesn't last all day but it doesn't change either.
I have recently been to Victoria secret and I bought some perfumes whilst travelling and they gave me a free travel sized perfume. I absolutely love it, the bottle is so cute and the smell stays put. I think they are for sale for around $20.
I just adore the Britney Spears Fantasy and Curious rollerball perfumes and combined lipgloss which are my favourite for travel.
Roller ball perfumes are very good for travel there not big & bulky & don't have to worry if they brake. Avon is a online company that has a great range of stuff including there lovely scents. You can also take them in tour clutch anywhere you like with you.
I had an Avon roller ball in Vanilla soft musk which I loved except it rolled off the bathroom vanity the other day and smashed. Need a new one now.
Hayley on the up side I bet your bathroom smells amazing at the moment :)
I also love Avon Vanilla Soft Musk fragrance Hayley. Did you know Avon have the Perfumed Rollettes in their current catalogue for $3.99?
Hi Hayley Mecca have the Marc Jacobs rollerball set for $65 or if you are near a Sephora they have it on sale for $45. Also Sephora gave a great range of rollerball and travel fragrances. I'm sure you could order them online even if your not close to a store. I like Lush too -they have solid perfumes in small canisters and not to expensive. Good luck I hope you find what you're after!
Just looking at the pretty packaging makes me smile. The glass bottle , the peachy colored oil and the gold flakes dancing around in the oil looks so luxurious.
Many thanks for the chance to review intense rescue shots Beautyheaven & Pantene
