I'm hoping someone could offer some advice re: super oily skin and offer some tried & true products they use which could help the oil slick that is my face!!
thanks heaps! x
Cetaphil oily skin cleanser is amazing! helps reduce oils that build up and doesn't leave skin stripped! aswell as the alpha h triple action cleanser is super good for oily skin!! :) hope this helps!
thanks so much Abbeyleee12, I will have a look at these.. :)
hi! What's your current skincare routine? Sometimes people can be overusing products when they've got oily skin which strips the skin too much, in turn creating more oil. Happy to look over your routine and make some suggestions to try :)

Hey Shortie 821!
Since I've discovered my combination/oily skin type, I've tried a few products that have helped me. This is just based on my skin which is also sensitive. A cleanser I find great is Avene Cleanance, it is suited to blemish prone and oily skin and I find it doesn't strip my face causing it to produce more oil. I stay well away from using facial oils and instead use the La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo. The La Roche Posay cleanser that comes in a set with this serum is also really great. Mattifying mositurisers are my best friend. I love the La Roche Posay Effeclar Matt. I have tried the Sukin Mattifying mosituriser and it is ok but leaves my face with a slight oily residue after half a day. For a face mask I love the Napoleon Perdis Bamboo Charcoal peel-off mask and the Sukin Anti-Pollution mask. Mind you I have only tried a handful of products but I do really like these. I use the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer mattifying suncreen on my face and it feels so smooth and helps to absorb some of that shine. I use the Sukin original hydrating mist and the Swisse Sea minerals mist. For a nightly mosituriser I use The Ordinary Vitamin C HA mosituriser which will leave your skin a bit greasy at first but absorbs well and doesn't leave my face oily in the morning.
These are not on the expensive end but I hope they may help in some way for you. X
Thanks so much Lala's Land - I will give these suggestions a go. Anything is worth a try to get the right combo for this oil slick of a face! :) x
You're so welcome Shortie821. It's hard to find just the right combo of products for that never ending oil - I feel you!!- I'm always on the look out for new products to help combat this. Good luck!!! xx
All natural skin care is the way to go. You don't want a lot of toxins and harsh chemicals absorbing into your skin. This will also cause a problem not help it. I recommend the website below, it has a section for oily skin care and gets lots of great reviews.

My main tips are to use 2% salicylic acid as a toner (the Clear Skincare one is at Priceline) say once or twice a week (more if needed), and not to be afraid of using moisturiser. The oily parts of your skin are usually quite dry which is why they are producing so much extra oil to make up for it, so don't let it get dryer!
I generally like the Advanced Night Repair skincare collection, and although this eye gel cream is very pricey, it really smooths and hydrates my eye area.
I was excited to try out this multi-purpose trimmer and styler because my facial hair and eyebrows desperately needed a good trim.
This is one of my favourite lip glosses, not only is it moistursing and hydrating, it gives me beautiful pigmented colour and shine without stickiness.
