Has anybody ever had their eyebrows tinted ? I have very fair eyebrows and am considering having them tinted for more definition but am a little concerned they might turn out too dark !
I also have very fair brows and lashes, and used to get both tinted.
There are several shades of tint and the darkness partly depend on how long it's left to develop. A good beautician should be able to get the right amount of colour to suit your own colouring. Two things that I will mention, because you'll panic at the darkness if you're not expecting these. First, the colour will fade noticeably the first couple of times you wash your face. Second, you will be so accustomed to your natural shade that any colour will look much darker, so a good colour will look too dark to you forat least a couple of days.
Unless the brow colour is really mismatched to your hair colour, nobody will pick it.
Of course, if you do as I once did and go from blonde to jet black lashes, people will notice! :)
Remember, they will grow out, so if you're not happy with it, you'll only have to live with it for about 6 weeks, You might also want to get the brows shaped at the same time because the strays will be more visible once tinted, too.
Totally agree with AliceJane, i also am very fair (always get lovingly teased about not having any eyebrows!) but recently had them tinted & loved it. It helped frame my face and I instantly looked a lot fresher and more vibrant. As long as the beauty therapist knows what shade you are wanting 2 achieve you should be fine. Kat82 truly i was impressed with how much better they looked after having mine tinted. I'm about ready 2 go back & do them again as mine have faded back 2 nothingness!
I got my eyebrows tinted.
On um Saturday.
They can mix different colours to suit your hair colour.
I too have fair brows and have had them tinted 2 or 3 times. I havent been happy with them any of the times though. With mine, which are fine and thin, when I get then tinted all the almost transparent hairs within my brows pick up the colour so they look thicker as well as darker. For me it works better and more naturally to use an eyebrow pencil or shadow. That way if I dont like it, I can wash it off and start again.
As Alice said they do last for a while but not forever as they fade off but if your not sure get a professional to do it for you. If your too afraid stick with the eyebrow pencils as you can easily wash it off if it isn't right to you although tinting your eyebrows does save you time.
Yep I'm going to give it a go, as you say it does grow out, thanks for all of your advice.
Kat82 it really will make a difference, hope that ur happy with the end result, Happy brow tinting :)
I also have very fair eyebrows. i have had them tinted before and it worked out really well, i loved it! i would just suggest that who ever is doing it is aware of what you want the end result to look like so they aren't too dark for you (but if it is they will grow out!), and also to get them shaped at the same time so they look nice and neat.
I couldn't get by without having my eyebrows tinted - they are so light. I have them waxed at the same time. Been doing so for about 8 years now. A good beautician will tint first and then wax so they can see all the stray hairs that need to come off with the wax. If you are concerned about going too dark just ask for a light brown colour and ask them not to leave it on too long, if it's not dark enough have the tint reapplied. Don't be scared if they look a little too dark at first, because some of the tint will cling to your skin, and make it look darker. Highly recommended.
I'm getting my eyebrows and lashes tinted today! I've never tried it before so I'm eager to see how it will turn out :)
Totally agree with the posts here. I have a very fair complextion & dark hair, tinted eyebrows give me the definition I need. I go to Ella Bache as it's very profesional and the ladies always know what is going took best depending on what hair colour I have going on. They are also good with ppl having this done for the first time. Start with a colour slightly darker that what you have naturally, then next time (if you want to) go a little darker so you are comfortable with the change.
I've reported the previous post by axel_15 as spam, and I also reported it on the "Serial SPAM member on BH" thread.
This is a lovely conditioner and I'm a bit of hair care snob. It's rich enough for my hair, although I do use a decent amount.
Thank you to the BH team for sending me this product to trial.
I really enjoyed participating in this Dermeze trial as our entire family have sensitive, dry skin issues as well as eczema.
