I'm currently looking for new makeup and skincare to buy. Help me with new and good quality products :)
That's a pretty broad question Laura_a1 , what is your budget? do you prefer natural products? are you vegan? do you purchase products online? what is your skintype? etc...
Their are lots of brands listed on BH with helpful reviews you should have a look at.
Thank you. sorry I'm new to this. still trying to figure out how everything works.
Do you know how to delete this form ?
No I don't , sorry. I think you can only edit it.
You don't need to delete it. You can edit it to include some more specific details or simply add them in a new comment.
You don't need to delete the thread at all Laura_a1 - We have all been new at one time in here and it is a learning curb for all members. I remember joining so long ago now and I used to just sit and read the comments and was too scared to type anything.
Then one day, I typed and you are on your way :-)
It does'nt matter if you delete it, if no one comments on a forum post then it just kind of gets 'pushed down' the comments, and is'nt really noticed. You might be able to ask BH to remove it but it's no big deal.
I hope I did'nt sound too unfriendly, we all were new to this site once :)
Boost Lab serums are great & very well priced. I like the Sukin & A'kin skincare ranges which cover a wide range of skin concerns & benefits. I have recently started using Ethique products & so far so good. They have a wide range of bar products for skin, hair & body. They have sample packs as well, which are a great way to trial some of their range to see if they work for you.
It's a process of trial and error - something works for others may not work for you, but you will get more useful suggestions if you can specify your skin type and whether you have any particular concerns.
My skin type is pretty normal, but prone to dehydration. Broadly speaking I generally recommend (skincare):
Lower prices: Inkey List, Glow Lab Age Renew, Antipodes, some Olay products
Medium to higher prices: Dermagloica, Elizabeth Arden, some Clinique, Estee Lauder and Ella Bache products work really well for me too.
just seeing this now Laura_a1 - welcome to the forums.
There are so many products on the market these days and it does get confusing. Not knowing your age I can suggest some make-up brands that suit any age. Like Maybelline, MCoBeauty, Covergirl, Rimmel, Australis.
As to skincare, it depends re your age and skin but Olay is a great brand and also Boost Lab, Neutrogena.
Come and chat in the forums and check on this thread also that you created.
Hiya! Because I'm obsessed with Nude by Nature in makeup and now..drumroll...skin care. On a budget? Wait for the 40% off sales on their website, Big W and sometimes Priceline.
I second most of these recommendations (dermalogica is excellent, antipodes is very good, Maybelline has some good products [mostly their mascaras, some of their formulations are the bomb! Go for Lash Paradise by Maybelline if you want a awesome mascara ♡♡] Estee Lauder is pretty good, the ANR serum is fantastic) and I have a few others to add: Trilogy (their rosehip oil is fantastic), Swisse is an excellent budget friendly skincare brand and has something for every skin type, Origins have a few good products (their ginzing moisturiser is my favourite), Alpha H is amazing if you want more serious results, L'occitane if you want to really treat your skin, Ole Henriksen is excellent as well (I love the cold plunge mask and C-rush brightening creme)...I better stop now lol I could go on and on =) I am not much of a makeup wearer hence the massive skincare recommendations haha =)
Thank you for these recommendations. I have a dermalogica cleanser that I haven't used and I just bought it, so I will give that a go
Oh eye of horus!! For mascaras and eyeliners, their formulas are excellent ♡♡
2nd this comment! No matter what brand of mascara I try, I always end up back at EOH's Goddess Mascara. Their pencil liners are so creamy & easy to apply + their metallic liquid liners are fun.
Sorry ladies I have another one, Lancome Hypnose if your looking for a really good mascara, if your looking for sunscreen La Roche Posay Anthelios XL is one of the best alongside Mecca To Save Face...okay I will stop now =)
For many years I have had severe allergic reaction to normal hair colour that contains ammonia and peroxide.
I had good results both with niacinamide and vitamin C in the past, and I like using them both in my morning routine, but I'm not a fan of layering several products.
I loved this. I have dry hair but wow this changed it. It hydrated and moisturized my hair, it made it smell so nice and fresh. It gave my hair a shine.
