I'm super keen to have a lash lift done.. just wondering if anyone here has had one done before? What was your experience like? Were you happy with the results? How long did it last for, and would you have it done again?
Your question comes at a perfect time - I actually got my very first lash lift last week!
I have long lashes, however they sit quite low and straight over my eyes which makes me look tired all the time. I really wanted to get a lash lift for my wedding, but now that I've had it, I think I'll be getting them all the time!
The process of getting it done was completely painless and took around 45 minutes. All you need to do is lay there as the beauty therapist works their magic. She performed the lash lift and then tinted my lashes.
I didn't really know what to expect or how effective the lift would be, but I was amazed when she handed me the mirror. My eyes have been completely opened up and it almost looks like I'm wearing fake lashes - but they're all my own! I used to have to curl my lashes every day and put on loads of mascara, but I've only worn mascara once since I've had them done. They stand out enough on their own! The lift lasts until the lashes fall out, so around six weeks.
I will absolutely be going back for another one in six weeks time. Honestly, I'm completely hooked!
I hope this helps!
Thanks so much for your reply Rosie! I'm actually booked in to have mine done next week, but am starting to get a little nervous. But you've definitely put my mind at ease!! I hope I have the amazing results you've had! I'll post my results/ thoughts afterwards in case anyone else is interested
I would love to see before and after pics if you are happy to share.
Good luck, I'm sure you will be pleased with the results.
Thanks for posting Rosie :)
I've got short and downward facing lashes and I have to wrestle my poor short stubbies into my lash curler to get a curl. I wonder if they will make a difference to my little lashes.
How much does something like a lush lift cost?
I don't know if I could get it done because the lifted lashes could get in the way of my eyeliner application. Which I would find annoying lol! Love my eyeliner too much
Hi Aimee615! I've never heard of a lash lift, I'm interested too now.
I am obsessed with lash lifts and have been getting them every 6wks for the last 18months...but after getting extensions applied for a special event recently the therapist showed me a photo of my lashes up close and they were sooo wonky, they've recommened I take a breather and let my lashes rejuvenate a bit before jumping back in.
That being said...go for it! You will love it, but maybe don't get it done as regularly as I did... Once I'm cleared to lift again I will getting it done every 3months instead
Slightly off topic but if you're in between lash lifts, i hear waterproof mascara dries your lashes hard and keeps curled lashes up for awhile.
Great thread, I too have been keen to try out a lash lift procedure for a while but wanted to know more before I plunged into it. I really like the look of defined eyelashes without have to use mascara and deal with panda eyes! Will now seriously consider!
What a great thread! I’ve been wanting to get a lash lift for a while now and now I’m definitely convinced!
I was a serial eyelash extension girl! then I decided my lashes needed a break from the heaviness of extension and that's when I switched to lash lifts (because I can't live without luscious lashes) I honestly think it was the best decision I ever made.
My lashes became so healthy, they looked so long and better yet they looked and were natural.
I've had lash lifts that have lasted up to 8 weeks but some that have only lasted 4, so I think it really does depend on where you go and how much experience they have with lash lifts. I recommend if you get a lash lift to also get tint as it makes the lift appear more visible and looks alike like mascara. But I would 10/10 recommend doing some research on quality salons and for prices etc.
Totally helpful thread. This sounds like something I'd like to have done as I have straight, naturally dark lashes and don't wear mascara, so want something to open my eyes up a bit more.
This is really a product that every family should have in their home. It is really versatile and is so gentle it coukd be used on all skin from a baby to adult.
I was pleased to trial the Sun Sense moisturising face cream with SPF50. I have very fair skin and this is ideal for everyday wear as it has a moisturiser and a high SPF in one!
One of my all time favourite hand creams!
