Have you thought about using an oil instead of a moisturiser before you go swimming? It might be more resistant
I use an oil and I can usually feel it still on my skin after a swim. I feel that it really protects my skin from the water, my skin doesn’t feel dry at all afterwards.
What kind of oil do you use?
I tend to have a few on rotation (atm Rosehip, Avocado and Jojoba) and they seem to work well.
Oh nice! Love rosehip oil ♥️
I used to swim 3x a week as a workout. Apart from just any moisturiser before and after swimming (I did that for my hair as well) I was always told that your skin/hair "pick up" the first water that touches it.
I.e. if you're about to go into a chlorine pool, get your hair really wet with clean water first so your hair doesn't absorb the chlorine water. That's always worked for me, for both hair and skin. So I always showered right before getting into the pool.
I've heard that too Nell!
I haven't heard that before, that's really interesting. I rarely come in contact with chlorine anymore but that's something I will definitely keep in mind for future reference, thankyou.
I don't swim, but I find that Argan oil and Rosehip oil are really great for dry skin! I would try these in conjunction with a good moisturiser.
I've heard of the shower before swim but never knew why!
