My nose always gets burnt and it just ruins my whole face lol. So any ideas?
apply vinegar or sour cream to the burn!!!
Really!!! I've never heard of that remedy!
Applying fresh aloe vera to the sunburned area can really help it to heal quickly.
Feel free to check out my article about aloe vera here:
I have to second Aloe Vera!
I must recommend the Nature's Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel.
It's my HG, and is not only soothing and effective for sunburns, it has a lot of other applications such as usage for a hair mask, moisturiser, as a lip balm, or even to make with your foundation or BB cream for a cooling effect!
It's extremely affordable as well!
Nutrimetics have a after sun care and works fast

use aloe vera to cure the sunburn skin
I second that Aloe Vera works like a gem.
There are a few remedies that you could try. First one is take a small piece of ripe paw paw , mash it and apply on your burnt area. Leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with some warm water followed by some cold water to close the pores and apply some coconut oil on the area or some olive oil. Second remedy is take 1 tablespoon of chickpea flour and mix it with 1 tablespoon of yoghurt and pinch of tumeric.Apply to the affected area, leave for 10 minutes and rinse off. Then a pply some olive oil or coconut oil to keep it well moisturized .
Third remedy is take some egg white in a container ,beat it lightly and apply to the affected and leave it to dry for 10 minutes before washing off. Keep the rest of the egg white in a sealed container in the fridge and used it within 3 days. Descard the rest after 3 days. Do this twice a day for 3 days. Egg white will repair the damaged skin.
Personally I believe any good moisturiser would help (preferably not perfumed) - it always takes time for a sunburn to heal and remember NOT to pull off any dead skin. Let it all happen naturally. When putting on lotions or creams on your sunburnt nose, gently dab it on, do not rub. Drink plenty of water or cold herbal teas like homemade peppermint or camomile. If you want your tea sweetened, use honey, not white sugar.
Pure Aloe Vera from the plant!
Either Aloe Vera or yoghurt. Trust me, it works and brightens your face. It's good for oily skin, too. But if you have dry skin, maybe use milk instead. Good luck!
Aloe Vera works like a dream! I like to keep some aloe Vera gel in the fridge because it feels amazing on sunburn and has great healing properties too. I stay away from using any oil products on sunburn as it makes me feel like I'd be "frying" my skin!
Yes , Aloe Vera is best ideas for sunburn.
I always triple my water intake and use vitamin e and aloe vera
i need to get rid of this massive sunburn on my face fast! i have a school dinner and my face is so red!!! i cant go shopping so i cant get aloe vera gel, or make something like a sauce or something, i just need help!! please someone tell me what to do
If you have oatmeal, that can also soothe the burn.
If yoi can't go anywhere to get aloe vera or shopping try-cold compress ie something frozen in your fridge to cool down. Oatmeal as suggested by ehelide is brilliant too.
Other option is black tea. Boil 3-4 black tea bags wait to cool apply to washer or flannel and apply to face.
DermalMD Rosacea Serum is amazing for removing redness and didn't cause any irritation in my super sensitive skin. I've been using it daily in the evening after essence but before moisturizing and can see a definite improvement. Note-I don't have Rosacea ,only redness due to sensitivity and previous sun damage from when I was younger .
I grow aloe vera just so I can use it straight from the plant. Very soothing and effective.
Ideally, DON'T get sunburnt.
Aloe Vera Spray from Banana Boat is incredible all over the body when getting burnt, however anything cold (water or ice) always feels nice also.
I use aloe vera gel during the day after it happened and then at night I apply The Body Shop's Vitamin C Serum and Vitamin E Serum in Oil with a thick moisturiser and by the next morning it's basically gone!
Use aloe vera soothing gel, they always helps to cool down the sunburnt area and also hydrates the skin. Keep it in the fridge before using it so the temperature is a lot cooler before you apply. It should help :)
Ice ! Ice is the best! Ive had bad sunburns on my face after a day of spear fishing ! Best fun ever tho! But ice is just amazing! Use ice before applying anything else.
Hi beauties! I just came across this forum and was reminded of an article I wrote a few months ago - obviously we are in the middle of winter here now but thought I would post anyway just for your reference:
Hope this helps!
definitely aloe vera. It helps take the burn out quickly. Then make sure you slip slop slap when you go out in the sun. Your skin will need some time to heal properly and you definitely don't need to damage your skin on top of the burn. Good luck and it will be fine quicker than you think.
This gradual smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling silly smooth and hydrated. It absorbs into the skin really well and gives me a really natural looking tan.
I received this as part of the Oct discovery bag (thanks BH!) and was keen to try out this Australian cruelty-free brand.
I received this product as part of a trial team. This is my first trial so its ironic that it would be food.
