Groom your dad, celeb-style

Whether your dad spends a good 15 minutes on his hair in the morning or he’s the kind of guy that musses it up a bit just before he’s out the door, there’s a hair product out there with his name on it. You just have to work out what it is.
But don’t panic, we’re here to help point you in the right direction. All you have to do is figure out which hot celeb dad wears his hair most like your pop, and you’ll be good to go.
If your dad’s hair looks like…Patrick Dempsey’s

McDreamy certainly knows how to rock a casually messy ‘do. There seems to be zero structure to it and you’d guess that he’s put little to no effort in getting it to look so perfectly disheveled. If your dad is a fan of this kind of style, send a hair clay or putty in his direction. He’ll be able to achieve that ‘I didn’t do a thing’ finish without looking like he spent any time worrying about how his hair looks. Plus, the styling product will help keep the style in place all day.
Budget buy: Sexy Hair Short Sexy Hair Rocked Out Pliable Molding Clay
Special treat: Shu Uemura Art of Hair Clay Definer
If your dad’s hair looks like… Hugh Jackman’s

Hugh Jackman has quite a handsome head of hair, doesn’t he? So full, so chocolate-y brown. But what’s that? Look very closely and you’ll see a few grey hairs are sprouting through, which you may have noticed happening to your father’s hair.
If your dad is starting to look a little salt-and-pepper and isn’t so keen to be sporting a few grey hairs, then help him out with a hair dye.
Budget buy: Just For Men Shampoo-In Haircolour, $12.79, Priceline
Special treat: Goldwell Topchic
If your dad’s hair looks like…Brad Pitt’s

Brad’s been sporting some long, luscious locks for a good few years now. And while it may be an unconventional hairstyle, it’s not uncommon for older men.
The key to pulling off this look – whether your dad’s hair sits at his ears or below his shoulders – is ensuring that it looks and feels healthy. Silky, shiny strands are far easier on the eye than a dry, ratty mess. So if your dad insists on letting his long hair roam free, get him a shampoo so nourishing, even you’ll want to play with his hair.
Budget buy: GAIA Made for Men Shampoo
Special treat: Kérastase Paris Bain Capital Force Energise Shampoo
If your dad’s hair looks like…Jay Z’s

This look is short, it’s sharp, and it’s pretty fuss-free. Just like Jay Z, it means business. And it’s a pretty handy hairstyle during the summer months.
If your dad is a fan of keeping his hair as short as this (or even shorter), he’ll know that it doesn’t take too long for him to need another cut. Save him some money from going to the hairdressers and get him his very own hair shaver.
Budget buy: Philips Hair Clipper Plus
Special treat: VS Sassoon i-Pro Intensive
If your dad’s hair looks like…Prince William’s

Thinning hair is a tough one. Try and hide and it and you look like a fool, but showing it off hardly leaves you feeling proud and confident.
If your dad has noticed his once-thick locks are looking sparser, then it’s time to introduce him to a hair thickener. They can help to not only reduce hair loss, but encourage hair growth, too.
Budget buy: Evolis topical hair loss treatment for men
Special treat: Head of Hair Intensive Kit
If your dad’s hair looks like…Neil Patrick Harris’

A clean, more structured style is certainly one that requires more time and effort when getting ready in the morning, but it definitely pays off for those willing to go the extra mile.
If your dad likes to take his time to make sure that every piece of hair is in place and in the direction it needs to be, then a gel or wax will be his best friend. Look for one that has great hold and just be sure to take notice of the finish your dad likes – a gel will give more of a wet-look, while a wax will leave a matte finish.
Budget buy: Nature’s Organics Organic Care Styling Gel
Special treat: TIGI BED HEAD Powertrip Hair Gel

Unfortunately dad's hair looks more like Prince Williams - slightly balding and thinning (and greying!).

haha uhmm. I dont think any of these styles is my dad. Patrick Dempsey maybe being curly and all over the place. I think my dad would be very confused if I suggested him using any sort of styling product.
