The mullet: your thoughts

According to the gospel source that is Wikipedia, the mullet is “a hairstyle that is short at the front and sides, and long in the back. The mullet began making appearances in the popular media in the 1960s and 1970s but did not catch on with the general populace until the early 1980s.”
But who am I kidding – everyone knows what a mullet is and how wide a berth one should give it. Everyone it appears, except Suzi Quatro who rocked the ‘do on Idol earlier this week. Amazing pipes Suze, but why on earth would you do that to your poor strands?
Is it just me that thinks the mullet should be the sole domain of hillbillies? Would you ever in a million years get one yourself?
I’m talking seriously – not as a bet or for charity – but as in “hey, this mullet will knock the socks off Brad / Stewart / Ian...”

Ugh, I'm sorry but I don't think a hairstyle as ugly as the mullet is ever a good look! Anyone sporting one should be set upon immediately with an electric razor, Jackass style, hehe!

Suzy is the only person I've seen to ever make a mullet work and that was more in her younger years. When they showed some pictures of Suzy from early in her career there was no denying that she was one sexy and sassy young woman. I think though that it may be time for even the fabulous Suzy to let the mullet go. . . I'm sure there are better looks for her.

Suzi Quatro is the quintessential of all rock chicks, and her hair is totally stand out, she wears her mullet really well. I absolutely loved watching her on Idol the other night, she proved she can still rock it, YOU GO SUZI!! She is a true professional.

I cannot stand mullets... all hairdressers should be banned from doing them!!! I think they should be left in the 80's, not to be revisited...

I kind of had a mullet looking hair cut after a visit to the hairdressers went horribly wrong. I asked for some shorter layers to add some volume and the lady hacked my hair really short on the top and it was rather mullet like. i hated it but once it grew out a bit it looked ok. I think that mulletts should be left in the 80's!

Oh this reminds me of a very bad hair cut I got from a foreign hairdresser back in high school. I gave myself to the lady's trust hands and walked out with something that resembled the Beatles. The worst part was that at the time I thought it was kinda cute..!! Very embarrassing but ahhhh, the good times....

i do not like the mullet at all, hair that is nicely layered is ok, but im seeing alot of girls with short real hair then fake extentions that r dead straight.. to me its looks like a mullet gone wrong!!! mullet should stay in the 80`s thats for sure!

I always have to poke fun at my partner when he waits too long between cuts and starts growing a mullet completely unintentionally. He can only take the jokes from everyone so long before he finally gets around to getting to the hairdressers.
