    Call me superficial, but lately I’ve found myself drawn to products purely for their packaging.

    Try as I might to practice restraint (a girl can only have so many products in her bathroom cupboard after all), there’s something about faux lace trimmings, rainbow-bright colours and gorgeously girlie gift packs that I just can’t seem to resist.

    Here are just a few of my current faves:

    When Clairol Herbal Essences’ Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner recently landed on my desk in all its red-and-pink love-heart glory, I couldn’t help but whisk it straight home. And you can imagine my shampooing pleasure when I lathered up to a sweet raspberry scent.

    I don’t know about you, but I can’t keep my hands off anything from Benefit. Its fun, flirty packaging only enhances the great product within. I love its vintage-inspired Dr. Feelgood Lip Balm and the bright and bubbly CORALista Blush.

    Bloom Scented Hand Cream is a pastel pleasure in my handbag, bringing a smile to my face with every use. Its Scented Soap is also so prettily packaged it’s almost too good to open.

    Burt’s Bees Bay Rum Men’s Pack contains a shaving soap and brush, aftershave balm and a lip balm all packaged together in a mug that’s so cute you’ll be begging your boy to give it back!

    Could you say no to a brand with a name as intriguing as ‘Yes To Carrots’? You only have to take one look at its vibrant-topped C Me Smile Lip Butter range and you’ll be rushing out to store to buy it.

    I got sucked in by Moxie Tampons. Great tin, yes I can recycle but man oh man what a painful product! The tight plastic wrapping with poor perforations means you end up with a shredded end. Not ideal Really bummed, as it's an Australian product.

    my sister is so into product packaging. Her room looks like a rainbow fairy cup cake!!! Its niice to see colours more though besides the usual boring stuff

    I do the same thing and get sucked in by ads promoting new products too like atm the new sunsilk longer and strnger shampoo and cond just want to give it a burl now!!!

    I love the sugar baby range's packaging - so feminine and fun :) There are so many perfumes I have also bought due to the gorgeous bottle eg Miss Dior Cherie, Marc Jacobs Lola.... there are so many amazing bottles out there

    I'm a sucker for packaging even though I know I pay extra for it at the checkout. I love Aesop or Kiehls products because they look old-fashioned.

    Packaging really sways me to buy stuff, I love lining pretty little bottles and tins up on my vanity. I agree Benefits packaging is great, but sadly I don't like a lot of their products, the foundation that comes packaged as a little record is terrible!

    No doubt cute packaging does draw attention to the product, but I still make sure its good to use before buying it! I must try herbal essences heard its good!

    I love the Sugarbaby products' packaging. Very girly with lots of pink and the designs are cute retro style circa 1950's.

    Any product that has a packaging that looks like you need a prescription to buy it catches my eye. It gives me a subliminal message that their product is dead-serious and you can expect kick-ass results with less of the useless frills.

    I love the little tins of Urban Rituelle lip balm. So cute. And the Moxie brand of tampons! They come in cute little tins too! Plus you don't lose them in your bag.

    Sometimes I like cute packaging, like Benefit, sometimes I like very plain looking ones like Bobbi Brown or Armani.

    It's not just the product packaging that attracts me but I've bought stuff to get the GWP because the makeup bags are so gorgeous, especially Clinique. You'd think some of the other companies would figure this out and stop with the boring black bags. I also got the cute little pink Dior makeup bag from a GWP not too long ago and just love whipping it out of my handbag =D

    I'm completely drawn to packaging too! I'm more of a presentation girl, every thing needs to be organised and get everything looking good. Almost a perfectionist! Lol anyways back to the point. Make-up products with lovely packaging are: - Major brands ie. YSL, Chanel, Estee Lauder etc - Burt's Bee - Benefit - Glamourflage - Pout (sadly discontinued) - Some of Kit and Pop cosmetics - All vintage cases, bottles etc - All vintage inspired looks lol
