The blush hack that'll bring instant warmth to winter skin

We're big lover's of blush year-round, but when winter rolls into town, that's when rouge really shines.
And if you were looking for a way to really get your apples looking illuminated and fresh this season, we've just discovered a game-changing hack that'll do just that.

In an Instagram story posted to @welovecoco (an account of beauty enthusiasts showcasing all things Chanel makeup and skin care, aka boujee town) model @jessicaclements produced her ultimate dewy, 'fresh as a daisy' makeup look:

Featuring a peachy eye, lightly contoured bronzed glow and a slightly overlined lip, the whole thing was a dream to watch, but it was Jessica's blush application trick that really caught our attention.
Using Chanel's newest product (of course), the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Highlighting Fluid in Pearly Glow, Jessica pumped a few drops of the liquid onto the back of her hand. Then, using a beautyblender, she picked up some of the highlighting fluid and dabbed it straight into her powder blush. In this case, the pan in question was Chanel's Joues Contraste Rouge Profond.
With both products combined on the sponge, Jessica then dabbed the mix onto the apples of her cheeks and lightly across the bridge of her nose. She cited the technique as being similar to creating your “own luminous cream blush”.
We have to say, we'd considered liquid-to-liquid mixing before, but the combination of textures had us intrigued.
As curious as we are? Here's some of our favourite blush and illuminators that we think would make an excellent mix:
Bobbi Brown Blush, Models Prefer Blush, CLINIQUE Blushing Blush Powder Blush, Nude by Nature Virgin Blush, Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter, Maybelline New York Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter, CLINIQUE Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator

I think pinks are better for me... I'm a Nars girl.

I've never tried it, and probably it's not for me, but Jessica certainly looks amazing with her fresh peachy look.

She certainly looks awesome. Illuminator is something that I tend to over look.

I'd be worried about ruining the pan of blush! I'll stick with separate application.
