We tried the new microblading Brow Blend Tattoo
It’s official, microblading brow tattoos are here to stay. Even a few of us at beautyheaven HQ have taken the plunge and had our eyebrows tattooed. I mean, who doesn’t want perfect brows all year round. Over the past few years, microblading techniques and tools have evolved and we now have access to some of the most advanced semi-permanent treatments ever. But with so many microblading methods now available, how do you know which one is worth the splurge?

If you’re considering any semi-permanent treatment, a consultation with an industry professional is important to make sure you’re investing in the right treatment for you. International ‘Brow Queen,’ Amy Jean has always been at the forefront of microblading trends. So, when the time came for me to have my own brows bladed, I visited her Sydney salon and was recommended her latest treatment, the Brow Blend Tattoo. I wanted my brows to look natural and fluffy, which the Brow Blend Tattoo made possible by combining traditional microblading at the start of the brow and Amy’s signature Mist Brow tattoo technique through the body, arch and tail. This creates a natural results for sparse brows like mine.
The result? I LOVE my new brows! As a busy (read: lazy) person, it’s incredible to be able to wake up with perfectly styled brows. I still use a pencil to add a small amount of definition, plus I set the hairs in place with an eyebrow gel – but this only takes me a few seconds.

I think your right Neverland. Better to pay more and go to someone who knows their business than end up with a mess.

Oh I remember the days where people just had the tattoo and no eye brow
These look more natural blended and the right colour

Seems not so long ago, all there was for eyebrows was plucking with tweezers or waxing to remove and pencils to add. So many options now and it's all very confusing the names given to them.
I'd like a comparison of all these showing the approximate pricing and how often you need to get it done. Semi-permanent? How long does that last ?
I'll continue to have my fringe just covering my eyebrows!

They look great but still hesitant to commit to this next step with my brows!

I just had another look at this and still don't know how it would work on my fair, and getting sparser, eyebrows. I have tried doing them with a pencil, using the various brush and gel options now available, and to me it doesn't end up looking natural. Perhaps I am too critical. While this does look good and a very lovely shape, I am sceptical that the end result would look as natural on me. I certainly don't like the look of drawn on eyebrows though.

I’m hanging to get my eyebrows done but really scared that it’s going to look dark/thick/unnatural on me. These look awesome and really natural.

I had eyebrow tattoo procedure 14 years ago and LOVED the outcome. They lasted a good three years, but which time I was need to use pencil but could still see the outline. I'm 69 and would so love to have them done again but there is no way I could afford the price now. I'm of the generation where we plucked our eyebrows very thinly and now the hairs stop about half way over the eye. Thus the need for a pencil. It takes such a long time and never looks as good as natural or tattoo.

Before brow products were a thing - in the late eighties - I was using a flat coloured brown eyeshadow (probably a Covergirl or Maybelline one I think) to give more emphasis to my brows because they were blonde and so unnoticeable and I wanted then to stand out a bit rather than be such a blondie. So amazing how many brow beauty products and techniques are now available!! Have we gone American in the beauty dept or what!?! I think so!

Wow they look so natural and love the shape! Something I'd consider if I had the spare cash. For now I'll just stick with my L’Oréal Paris Unbelieva’brow or similar "tattoo brow products". I look silly with full eyelash extensions but such fair brows. At the very least I tint them myself and use a waterproof brow pencil.

Looks awesome on Sophie, but some friends have had tattooing on their brows and it looks ghastly (my opinion only and they think it looks wonderful, of course I say nothing)

I had my brows tattooed a few months ago and I love it. It has been life changing for me considering that I spent over 15 mins doing them every morning and even then they wouldn't look all that great. On my no makeup days I would still have to do my brows to look somewhat human. Now I look put together even right after I wake up in the morning. I have extremely oily skin so I was warned that they will fade faster than those with less oily skin. So far they are holding up great and when they start fading I will get them touched up for sure.

The results can be amazing. I’d love to try but at the same time I’m scared I’d hate the results and be stuck with them. I’ve seen some amazing results and also seen some jobs that just didn’t look right and looked like they were done with a dark sharpie
