EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24H Eye Shadow Reviews

I bought all the regular colours from the maybelline tattoo collection on sale as i was sceptical of how well they would stay on my oily/dry temperemental lids.
When i go them home and started playing with them and wearing them, they truly surprised me at how amazing the were when applied and blended perfectly, amazing colour and pigmentation and so vibrant and strong colours.

I used them just as a basic one colour eye but with experimentation found that they are amazing as a primer for other colours or a base for darker colours to make them lighter and more vibrant or to make lighter colours darker just by layering on top of the cream shadow.

If there's something I love, it's a multitasker. I love using these on their own, as an eye shadow base or primer, as a coloured eyeliner and even to fill in my eyebrows. I wish the colour selection we have here was the same as overseas but I can't complain because I love the ones I have.

These can be applied with a brush, a sponge tipped applicator or even your finger. They're flexible and forgiving until they set and once set they don't budge. It's also quite easy to blend them out, just do so before it sets!

I absolutely love these eyeshadows. I originally picked up Bad to the Bronze and loved it so much I went and bought all the other shades. These are creamy, easy to apply and last so long without fading or smearing. They are easy to apply with a finger or a brush and the pot lasts for ages! They look great worn alone as an eyeshadow and can be used as an eyeliner too.

I must have the oiliest lids ever. Everyone else seems to say this does not crease or smudge, however I can't seem to get it to stay put.

I have tried using less product so that it doesn't bunch up but about 1 hour later I notice some creasing, as well as smearing in the outer corners of my lids. Mind you, it's nowhere near as much as a normal cream shadow, but this is marketed as a 24 hour long wearing product...I don't think so.

The colours are beautiful and there are a range of cream and shimmer/metallic finishes but the pots also dry out quickly. I keep the lid on tight and it doesn't quite last the distance.

I am yet to find that miracle product that will not move on my extremely oily lids.

I bought this in creamy beige (#80) when it was on special, thinking that for $10 I'd give it a go.

A fine cream shadow, it goes on very smooth and has a lovely even coverage. This colour is very natural and it blends in with natural skin tones. Lasts a long time and doesn't flake or gather in the creases.

Honestly, I think this shadow is foolproof.

I love these eyeshadows by Maybelline! They are super extremely pigmented, very easy to blend and a little bit goes a long way! The colours are so beautiful and stays on for a long time! These eyeshadows don't crease and apply very smoothly to the eyelids. They are also very easily removed, with a bit of Garnier Micellar water it disappears!

I bought a beige color which is pretty, but soon the product was almost as hard as a rock. It is too hard to smooth on. I've only used about 25% of the jar. Any suggestions re softening the gel shadow so I can use? Am very disappointed but I've heard people love these so I would love to get any tips for the beige colour.
However all of the other colours I own have lasted and are alright but I prefer my mac painterly.

I picked this product up not really expecting it to do a huge amount. I like a product that is easy to use and hard to stuff up. This is definitely one of those products.

It glides on so easily and the colour payoff is pretty good with a small amount of product. I've used it on bare lids, over primer and over foundation and each time the colour has shown up beautifully.

It is easily removed with micellar water or make-up remover.

It's a small jar but seems to be lasting me quite a while. Will definitely repurchase this one.

I love cream eyeshadows but was sorely disappointed by one I already had in my stash – it was Tough as Taupe. The colour was stiff and it didn’t blend well. It stuck to my lids and pulled off on my fingers quite easily. It was hard to work through and even the warmth of my fingers didn’t help blend it out. I don’t know if it was this particular shade that didn’t work well or if it was reflective of the entire range. So I let it sit in the back of my eyeshadow collection to gather dust.

I was convinced by some of the BH participants to purchase some more from Maybelline New York. And I’m glad I did. I received Bad to the Bronze from one of the BH participants to try and when the Chemist Warehouse 50% sale was on, I purchased Chocolate Suede and Creamy Beige. I also decided to pop out my Tough as Taupe, scrape of the top layer and try again.

Tough as taupe is a matte shade; whereas Bad to the Bronze is a high sheen eyeshadow. Once I scraped the top layer off, Tough as Taupe had the same texture as Bad to the Bronze and the other products – creamy, easily blendable and wonderful to layer colours on top.

Don’t be fooled by the creamy texture – this product sets fast. You have to work quickly to blend it onto your lids. Once set, it doesn’t move nor crease.
I love how this product is so versatile – it works well on its own or as a base for layers of eyeshadow. Even though it sets well, you can layer eyeshadows and blend them quite well for smokey looks. I have posted some photos of EOTD of the product on its own as well as layered for a smokey look on the forums. Look up the EOTD thread on the forum and you will find a lot of photos featuring this product.

I’ve worn this eyeshadow on rainy days and it didn’t smear nor run; the staying power is quite impressive – I’ve worn this for full work days and even into the night – the max time I’ve worn this eyeshadow was 12 hours. And it stayed as fresh in the night as it did when I first applied it to the lids.

Removing this product is easy – just a swipe with a cotton ball dampened with micellar water is sufficient to remove it without scrubbing or tugging.

I’m glad I gave this product a second shot, I would seriously missed out if I didn’t.
