EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24H Eye Shadow Reviews

I was a bit hesitant to trying this mainly because the colours on the packaging were just so vibrant! I finally managed to get a light shade and I swear this thing lives up to its hype. The pigmentation is amazing and it lasts all day. It goes on SO smooth and the packaging is super cute. I love the range that these products have. Like I said, I didn't want to try the colourful ones, but when I swatched it on my hand, it was like heaven in a tub. I am addicted to these things and I can't get enough.

I love these! Heaps of brands have been coming out recently, and Maybelline has done a fantastic job with these! I have the colours Tough as Taupe and Bold Gold and I love both shades. My only complaint would be that they are not as creamy as I would like. But now on to the good things, they have a great colour payoff and are easily applied all over the eyelids. The best thing about these is that they set! Which means that after applied to the eyelid they set matte and DO NOT MOVE! Even on my eyelids which are quite oil. This is a great product on it's own and as base, I have to say used as a base these are incredible! I know it's bad, but I slept with my makeup on after a night out and when I woke up my eyeshadow was perfectly in place. I would highly recommend these products!

Love love these! I often choose not to use eyeshadow unless i'm going out for the night. I don't usually use eyeshadow when going to work because by the time i get to work, i looks horrible and it was a waste of time.
I was hesitant when hearing the hype with these eyeshadows but the hype is all true!
I purchased this in Tough As Taupe and used it without a primer. Even without using a primer this lasted me from morning till evening. I did not have creases nor did the colour fade drastically.
I purchased this at a sale price and will be buying these again! It is affordable even at full price and is long lasting.
Although the colour does fade a little throughout the day it still looks lovely.
I found it very easy to blend this with a second colour i purchased and am very happy overall.
This is so far my favourite eyeshadow and there are many fun colours available to try out.

This review is for Pomegranate Punk. Please note that I have crepey eyelids, and this has greatly influenced my opinion of this product.

Pomegranate Punk is a gorgeous burgundy shade, which is a colour that would suit most people. The product comes in a sturdy glass jar, and the plastic lid screws on and off the jar easily.

Even though the consistency of the gel is smooth, I found it hard to blend on my crepey eyelids with either my fingers or a brush as it pulls on my skin. I found it helped to blend this with a powder eyeshadow as I prefer a look where there are no hard edges. I tried using this as an eyeliner under my lower lashes, and it was easy to apply. After a few hours I noticed that the colour on my eyelids was looking patchy, and the creases in my eyelids were accentuated, but the product was still there (I don't use an eye primer).

I must have a slight sensitivity to an ingredient in this product because my eyes always feel uncomfortable when I use this - almost to the point of stinging. For this reason, I will not continue using this. I have never had a reaction to eye products in more than thirty years, apart from one mascara, so this is unusual for me.

I can see why women give rave reviews for this product, but it is not something that I can recommend for women that are more mature. I am only fifty, so I wouldn't recommend this for someone much older than me, unless they wanted to use it as an eyeliner or a base for powder eyeshadow.

These shadows are absolutely perfect, I can find no fault with them. They have excellent pigmentation, they last well, there's a variety of colours to choose from, you just can't go wrong with these. They can be used as a base for powder eyeshadows, or a gel liner, or just use them on their own as a cream shadow. I have tenacious real (which I use as an eyeliner) and tough as taupe. I love using my finger to slide t.a.t. Over my lids as it give less pigmentation, making it a perfect colour to just wear out and about. These will last you a really long time, and they are worth the price :) careful though, keep the lid on them tight if you don't want them to dry out! :) definitely will be buying more of these.

I just picked up the Maybelline Precious Pearl Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow. I have read alot about the range and the product appealed to me as a great affordable eyeshaddow. The colour looked more appealing to me in the pot... appearing as a warm shimmering gold. The colour is much more of a silvery white. The Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow is quite pasty in that it is thick and creamy to apply. This helped the eyshaddow glide on, however it was very difficult to get an even smear accross the eyelid. This resulted in a few clumps and in the length of time that it took to set left an uneven appearance. I do like that the shear appearance makes the Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow easy to blend and even layer another eyeshadow on top. After 9 hours of wear I did notice a few areas of light creasing, appearing more-so in the arears that were built up.

I enjoy that the Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow range is so easy to apply. The warm undertones of the precious pearl went well with my skin tone and easy to blend with another layer of eyeshaddow. As a stand alone product I found it to be too patchy and again preferred how the product looked in the pot compared to when it was applied.
The Color Tattoo 24 hour eyeshadow is great for its longetivivty and available in some great colour combinations. It is relatively easy to remove using make-up remover wipes as long as you remember to do so since the product doesn't feel like you are wearing it at all.

This is a seriously amazing product. I have the shade Bad to the Bronze which is incredibly versatile with a little shimmer.
The formula is so long lasting as well. On its own, it lasts the full day with only a little fading but i have tried it with eye primer and wow, it lasted for ages! i have experienced no creasing at all which is great.
Only a little is needed for each application so the jar lasts for a considerable amount of time.
the price is very reasonable. i even bought mine on sale since they are often on sale at priceline. :)
i'm definitely going to repurchase this product!

I'm really impressed with the Tattoo eye colours and I'm not someone who usually likes eyeshadow.

I think I don't like eyeshadow because I put on colour in the morning, I travel to work and then by the time I get there, it's gone either all over my face or it's packed itself in to a crease and it's just a smudge of a line that you can only see when I blink. But I read the reviews of this cream eyecolour and once it won a Glosscar, I thought "Why Not!"

I am really glad I made the leap - my eyes thank me every day. I bought the teal and dark silver and use them in so many ways to brighten, heighten, deepen and smokify (with dark liner). The colour sticks where I put it which is wonderful and you can build the colour up to be incredibly bright or keep it light and sultry.

I am surprised with the price - I bought mine on sale and paid $6.50 each, but would easily now pay triple for the quality. Thank you, Maybelline!

I've got this product in two shades - Bad to the Bronze, and Tough as Taupe. The formulations are highly pigmented and so easy to apply. You can wear these on their own, as a base for other eye shadows, over other eye shadows and as an eye liner. Bad to the Bronze is my 'go to' eye colour for work everyday. I love it because
a) it's a beautiful shade - a metallic coppery bronze - with a really pretty shimmer
b) it's easy to apply - I use my finger to apply it over my whole lid
c) it lasts all day and I don't need to use a primer!

It's also great value for money too. I've got other cream shadows from high end beauty brands, and Maybelline Colour Tattoos definitely stack up to the more expensive brands.
