Here’s how to create a next-level smoky eye for your eye colour
If you do one thing this party season, make it a smoky eye. It’s a timeless makeup look that’ll get you noticed and cause serious makeup envy from every girl in the room. Executing the perfect smoky eye comes down to two things: using the right brushes and choosing shades that suit your eye colour. To find out how to create a next-level smoky eye for your eye colour, first watch the video above to learn how to prep your base. Then, find the step-by-step tutorial created specifically for your eye colour below.
Smoky eye for blue eyes
This smoky eye might look complicated, but it’s really easy to recreate! Bronzed shadows look amazing on blue eyes. Blending a copper tone into the outer corner of your eyes with the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush will bring those baby blues to life. To see all of the eyeshadow shades and the brushes I used to create the look, watch the video above.
Smoky eye for green eyes
A black smoky eye will always be in fashion but for a killer smoky eye that’s super flattering, use shades that accentuate your eye colour. Purple shades are my pick to make green eyes stand out. I used the Real Techniques Accent Brush to blend a deep purple along the outer corner of the lower lash line to make those green peepers really pop. To see all of the eyeshadow shades and the brushes I used to create the look, watch the video above.
Smoky eye for brown eyes
Brown eyes look amazing with darker shades, so blending is especially important for brown-eyed girls. If you’ve never been great at blending, try using the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush which makes blending eyeshadow effortless. A navy smoky eye is my favorite look for brown eyes. To see all of the eyeshadow shades and the brushes I used to create the look, watch the video above.
Smoky eye for hazel eyes
Hazel eyes have specks of different colours in them and look stunning when you enhance them through a variety of different eyeshadow shades. To really make hazel eyes stand out, I finished the look with a black liquid eyeliner. The Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush has a fine, pointed tip which makes creating the perfect line really easy. To see all of the eyeshadow shades and the brushes I used to create the look, watch the video above.
Will you be wearing a smoky eye this party season? Have you tried any of the Real Techniques brushes before?

The best thing about having hazel eyes is you can tune your makeup to make your eyes suit what you're wearing! It's crazy to see the difference between using purples and using browns/golds!

Having hazel eyes myself, i find the purple smokey eye make my eyes greener and the brown smokey eye make my eyes brownish. With a cool skin tone, i can use both types to my advantage. People have said that my eyes are the best feature.

I like navy all over the lid on my brown eyes but I can't get away with adding silver because I have golden undertones and it makes me look really strange. i usually blend with a brown and highlight with a gold/champagne colour.

I'm so new to eyeshadow it terrifies me that brown eyes suit darker looks. I've been playing with bronze and neutral shades and even that seems intimidating!

Loved this video. I have so many eye shadow palettes and I use the same colours over and over. I have to try some of these colours.

I like the video & it show's a lot not that I need it. I've brown eyes & love darker shades on me better then the lighter one's they suit me more but as far as this goes I'm already doing all of this.

I didn't believe it at first. And never thought I was a purple girl. But once I put some purple hues across my lids, my green eyes POPPED like never before. Even hubby commented! That's it, I'm converted!

Love the real technique face brushes. I've only tried 2 eye brushes and have not had much luck with it. I do love a nice smokey eye look though!
