Natural Mineral Cover Foundation Reviews

I'm not a big fan of powder foundations because they can accentuate fine lines, imperfections and dryness but this is definitely one of the better ones. When used with the correct buffing brush, you can get a good, natural resut. I use this one the days my skin is congested - it's not as heavy or as pore clogging as liquid foundation and lets your skin breath.

BUT - prepping your skin is everything when using a loose powder. You'll need to exfoliate so that there are no dry or rough patches and prime, prime, prime! (don't apply until your primer has fully absorbed).

Application can be messy - I usually tap the product out into the lid, gently press my brush into the product, then tap off any excess. Then I work outwards in a circular motion until desired coverage is achieved. It's not something you can use 'on the go'.

I like the concept of foundation powders and generally like the more natural look that they produce - especially in hot weather when liquid foundation can feel heavy and 'yuck' but wish they were easier and less messy to apply. The pressed powder version isn't nearly as effective.

This is the first mineral foundation that I ever tried and the one I keep coming back to. I have it in the medium shade and it blends well to my olive skin tone. I usually apply it over a B.B. creme as I find the coverage is not enough by itself. It gives a really smooth finish if you use a circular motion to blend it in. It doesn’t break me out even when I use it everyday. My only complaint is that it can be a bit messy to use.

Initially when I used this Mineral Cover with the Nude by Nature brush - I didn't get it. It was patchy and it was difficult to get an even finish. I almost gave up on this product.

And then I discovered that the problem was with the brush, not with the foundation itself.

Once I have switched over to the Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush, I like this Mineral Cover 10 times better.

A primer makes a huge difference. I use the Nude by Nature perfecting primer. But it works just as well on my other primer that I usually use with liquid foundation (Estee Lauder illuminating primer).

I don't normally use powdered makeup. The last time I used a mineral foundation was Estee Lauder's Nutritious Mineral Makeup (now discontinued). It was okay but I found the coverage is a little too matte, too dry, and it looked too "made up" for my liking.

In comparison, the Nude by Nature Mineral Cover feels a lighter on skin. The finish is also sheerer and I found that it is not very buildable, which works out fine for me because I only wear a tinted moisturiser / BB cream on a daily basis. I only switched to Nude by Nature because my baby is always touching my face (and then put her hands into her mouth) and I thought I'd use something a bit more "natural". Mineral Cover does not dry out my skin and at the end of the day my skin feels perfectly balanced - no oily T zone and no dry cheeks.

I don't think that this has enough coverage for special occasion. I still use liquid foundation if a fuller coverage is desirable. i sometimes wear concealer under the mineral cover if I wish to add just a tiny bit more coverage on specific areas.

The colour I have is light/medium which is probably a little bit too yellow for my skin tone (NC 25). However, it is acceptable in summer. And I think the "light" colour would be just right for me.

I kept seeing this product on my chemists shelves and thought Oh that sounds good I must try it but never seemed to get around to doing that. Well I finally did and boy was I surprised. It is really good, I have a dry skin and often things just sit on top and look awful but after using this over my normal foundation it looks so natural and makes my skin look really more even and smooth. I love the price and the quality seems excellent I used it for a big night out and applied a little extra over my cheeks to give me more definition of my features and it looked good all night. I love the fact that it is free from talcs, parabens and bismuth, making it ideal for sensitive skin. and I like the container it comes in, nice size and easy to find in my make up bag. I will

I have been using this mineral powder for at least 6-7 years now. I remember before trying it, I was quite sceptical because at the time, it was heavily advertised on tv as a“try now for free if you don’t like it send it back for free, EVEN if the jars are empty! product.” I thought products advertised like that are never any good and not worth the fuss. Well, I was certainly mistaken. That year for Christmas, I was given the mineral powder and mineral finishing veil and upon trying them for the first time, I was hooked. The coverage is buildable and has a stunning natural look that makes your skin look flawless. It doesn’t set into my smile lines and illinantes unwanted shine without giving my skin a powdery appearance. The amount of compliments I receive on my make up and skin whenever I’m using this mineral powder is unbelievable. I have been buying it ever since I tried it that Christmas 6 Years ago and I will continue to do so as long as it’s abailable.

I use the Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover loose powder in light/medium. The coverage isn't great enough for me to use alone on my skin. But it gives a lovely, smooth, matte finish when I apply over the top of foundation or BB/CC cream. I find the product quite expensive for a loose powder. However, I've used it almost daily for 3-4 months and my jar still looks full.

Having oily skin (and a penchant for impatience) I have tried many a d=foundation without much luck. But this... this is the Holy Grail of foundations. I still use a quality primer before and a setting spray afterwards, but for a everyday look this works wonders. It is cost effective too, considering the vast extent of its use from work wear to evening elegance. I actually found it great in summer when it was a lighter, more facile application than a full coverage foundation.

This has been my go to Powder for over 6 years, its fool proof! I love that there are no nasties and my skin can breathe while wearing it every day if I wanted to. Amazing coverage while still looking natural. The best thing about it in my opinion though, is that it still makes me look healthy with my skin poking through in the slightest, so you don't get that matte flat look like with most powders! Super easy to layer also.

This mineral powder is definitely one of my holy grail products. I wear it close to everyday with no harmful effects on my skin (I am prone to breakouts). I have very oily skin and large pores - this powder is great to use as a light coverage by itself or can be used with a concealer to achieve a more full-coverage look.

I live in a tropical climate and when used with a setting spray and primer it stays in place all day - even through my sweating. When the weather gets a bit cooler and my skin dries out a little, it will not sit properly unless i use a hydrating moisturiser. Those with very dry skin may have trouble with this product.

It does a fantastic job at smoothing out my skin and minimising the scarring and discolour from acne.
