Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 Reviews

To be honest, I didn't think this foundation was going to live up to all the hype. So, as any good makeup artist should do, I tested it out. I was very surprised by the result, to say the least.
The Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is truly quite amazing. I have mature, normal skin type and it gives me a full coverage without looking cakey or dry. I don't require powdering as it has a smooth matte finish (not powdery) and I prefer a more natural glowy finish anyway.
Some will say they only use a sponge to apply it but I don't have any problem applying it with my Zoeva foundation brush. I work it rather quickly as once it sets, it sets. And that's the beauty of it - it won't transfer on to your clothes or anything. On my better days where I can get away without concealing, this foundation does all in one step.
A winner for me...full coverage, longevity, great colour range, no powdering.

After the much read hype on YouTube and Instagram I decided to 'give it a go'. After using high end foundations in the past and being disappointed with their longevity for 12 hour wear, I finally found Estee Lauder Double Wear.

The price point is great, especially for everyday use a bottle tends to last around 3 months.

The foundation wears extremely well throughout the day, like the title says you can even take a nap in the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and it still won't budge!

If you have porcelain coloured skin, they have a fantastic range of shades for cool and pink undertones.

No matter what primer, foundation, setting spray I use I always find by the end of the day my makeup has rubbed off in some patches or tends to slide around my face over the day - this is the only foundation I have found that doesnt do this! I find the shades are a bit too orange toned for my skin type but I mix in a light mixing medium and it works perfectly. I just do not like that there is no pump with the bottle and must be purchased separately!

WOAH! This is an amazing foundation! Do you want you foundation to last the whole day? Do you want pigmented AF foundation? Do you want flawless coverage? Then this is the foundation for you! I have oily skin and Double Wears L A S T S! Love love love this foundation, as I can apply it at the start of the day and it will last the whole day and night! As usual, and with all my other foundations, I do have to touch up - that is due to my oil production. Unlike most other foundation, when I wear Double Wear, I do not have to touch up as frequently, and the look is always flawless. I highly recommend this foundation for anyone with oily skin.

I started using this foundation about a year ago, and it's been a joy to put on. It claims to be a medium coverage, yet buildable foundation (which is true!) It has a nice semi-matte finish. I've found it creates a very natural canvas to build on. It comes in an easy screw top glass bottle. Shades are EXCELLENT and I've been able to find one that matches my skin tone perfectly.

Hands down, this is my favourite and holy grail foundation. I have combination skin - dry cheeks, oily t-zone and acne prone and it’s the perfect foundation for my skin type. It covers all my flaws and makes me look flawless. It’s a semi matte medium to full coverage and lasts all day. A little bit goes a long way and that’s all you need. I don’t even need to wear primer or finish it off with a setting powder/spray. Sometimes I would apply a coloured powder if I know I need to take photos with flash as it gives a white cast look due to the SPF. I only apply a generous amount of moisturiser and sunscreen even though it has SPF 10 already beforehand and let it sink in then I apply it with a damped sponge. It does have a faint paint smell to it but nothing too powerful. The smell normally fades away once it has settles on your skin.

Whenever I wear foundation, I normally wear it all day, about 10 hours+ and this stays in place the whole day. I don’t have to blot, it doesn’t separate or crack. It doesn’t transfer and it doesn’t oxidise which is perfect for me. Most importantly, it doesn’t break me out, yay!

By the end of day when I look in the mirror, it looks the same as when I put it on in the morning except it looks a bit dewy due to my natural oils but it doesn’t look unappealing. It makes it look like you’re flawlessly glowing. It is a bit hard to take off at the end of the day as it’s transfer resistant, waterproof and sweat proof so I like to use the Garnier oil infused micellar water to take it off with a wipe and it comes off easily before using my Clarisonic to clean my face.

This foundation comes in a glass frosted see through bottle. It looks and feels expensive which suits the foundation as I believe the foundation is a high quality type! The only down thing is, it doesn’t come with a pump although I have read and tried that you can buy a MAC pump and it fits perfectly.

Whenever I wear this, I know I don’t have to worry about blotting, carrying powder around, worrying it will transfer onto my clothes or hugging people or be cautious while I’m eating, drinking and smiling. It’s honestly the best foundation for me and my skin type! I have tried other brands that has the same or similar claims but they are nothing compared to this one. Cheers Estée Lauder!

This was the only foundation I wore throughout high school, and although I have since added more foundations to my collection, I do think this was a great foundation! Less than a pump evens out my complexion amazingly and still left it looking nice and natural. It even covered my moderate acne, without accentuating texture. I would recommend Double Wear to all skin types, as I was oily in my teen years and am now on the drier side and it has always look great on skin!

This is the best foundation i have ever used, and i have tried out my fair share. It really does stay put all day with out feeling heavy, gross or cakey.
I have acne prone skin and its one of the only foundations that i find can cover my pimples and scars without having to colour correct. It's got great coverage and durability. I cannot recommend this product enough! I have acne prone oily skin so it is great for all my issues which rates it highly in my books!
The only down side is the colour range. I have to buy a shade thats slightly too dark for me which means in winter it becomes way to dark for me so I then have to buy a shade that is slightly too light for me which in summer becomes wayyyy too light for me.
I went to america and they had more of a range and I found a colour that worked for me throughout all seasons but unfortunately I cant get that shade in Australia.

I’m a foundation junkie, I am constantly trying new ones, in search of the next best one to take the cake. And it doesn’t matter how many j try, double wear always takes number one spot.

If you have oily skin then this is in my opinion the very best foundation. It does it’s best to absorb the excess oil and at the end of the day my makeup still looks good, sometimes after 12 hours.

Their shade range is brilliant. I fake tan so I have two colours so that I can make a custom colour. It sets nicely with or without powder.

It is a medium coverage foundation but can be built up to full coverage.

It’s well worth every cent!
