One-minute makeover: look flawless in a flash

I don’t want to come right out and say that I’m a lazy lady when it comes to my make-up, but I want what every girl wants – to look flawless in next to no time.
Sometimes I gaze at my overflowing make-up kit and sigh. Why does it take so many steps and a plethora of products to look as good as we want to? I just want to be able to snap my fingers and look like I’ve been pinched from the cover of a magazine. Me and the entire female population, that is.
I am known to love a challenge, so with that in mind, I set out to discover how I could cut my daily make-up routine down to around one minute, without jeopardising the result. In fact, the aim was to actually improve how I looked. Challenge may be an understatement.
After many a trial, I found a recipe that would prove to be foolproof. It’s rather simple – you just need a few trusty (read: awesome) products and around a minute to apply them. Ready? Go.
FACE:
So you want something that will apply to your skin, fit snuggly and stay there all day without wanting to fade off? I’m overjoyed to inform you that I’ve found a suitable sponge-on foundation that more than fits the bill. Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Make-up is silky and sheer and applies to your skin lovingly, like it really wants to be there. It smells amazing and delivers a smooth, airbrushed finish to your skin without feeling ‘heavy’. In fact, it feels the opposite, like you’re wearing nothing at all. Better still, it covers all of your imperfections and delivers a luminous glow to your skin that lasts all day. The very best bit? It takes around 10 seconds to apply to your entire face with a delightfully suede-like sponge that your skin will love. Needless to say, I’m hooked.
EYES:
Time is of the essence, so keep your eye look simple by choosing the eye product that’s most important to you. If you’re not lucky enough to be blessed with long, full-looking lashes, grab your jet-black mascara and sweep for the stars until you’re satisfied with your flutter. If you prefer to accentuate your eye shape, grab your black liner and line your top and bottom lash line to achieve a sultry result. If you want to bring out your eye colour, opt for a shimmery eye shadow that will act as a complementary backdrop to your baby blues (or greens, or browns.)
LIPS:
A lip hue can help to take your entire look from washed-out to wonderful. If you want to keep the attention on your eyes, opt for a clear glossy hue that delivers ultra shine. If you’re going for a sweet and girly look choose a soft pink long-lasting lipstick that you won’t have to think about for at least a few hours. If you want to opt for a lip look that packs a punch, pick up a berry lip stain and sweep it over your lips for a show-stopping result that takes only a matter of seconds to achieve.
Are you a lazy make-up lady too? What do you think of the sponged-on airbrushed make-up concept? Do you think it's the kind of product you need in your kit, too?

I'm a fan of sponge-on foundation - I'm loving the Mirenesse Skin Clone makeup. I will definitely look for the Elizabeth Arden foundation as it sounds good.

I am extremely lazy when it comes to day to day makeup, that's for sure!! I tend to max out with tinted SPF moisturiser, black/brown mascara, and a quick slick of pale pink gloss :) I go to much more effort for special occasions but then again, they ARE special!!

That foundation sounds divine. For me it's all about the eyes, if I had 1 minute to get out the door I'd do eye liner and mascara. The rest I can live without.

I wear mascara and lip gloss/lip balm everyday, but I only wear foundation if I'm going out. The Elizabeth Arden sounds wonderful.

Skin care is more important to me so less makeup, AMD hair do can change your life. Although a flash of pink lipstick and mascara works for me.

Great ideas, been doing all the above for awhile now, however I use a tinted BB cream for rather than actual foundation. Mostly for the sunscreen component.

Lazy (read clever) is completely my thing in the morning, only I use a nude powder rather than the Elizabeth Arden. It takes a couple minutes as I like to have a few layers of mascara, but agree completely about the lips. Give em a pout or glisten with a cherry balm and you're good to go.
