FIT me! Matte + Poreless Foundation Reviews

This is currently my favourite foundation.
I found it easy to find a shade that actually matches my skin colour where as other brands are close but not quite right. I find that this foundation sets great on my skin and does not look cakey at all. The foundation is long lasting on my oily-combo skin type.

I decided to give this a go as I decided I no longer wish to spend ~$60 on my current high-end foundation and I'm honestly impressed. There is a good range of shade options, though as someone who is cooler, pinkier toned, I found these shades to be very pink - I ended up opting for a warmer toned shade instead which matches me much better (just something to keep in mind if you like to order makeup online). I find the consistency to be pretty thin and hence I think this is best classed as a medium-coverage foundation, though it seems buildable. It is pretty matte but not /super/ matte which I personally prefer. It lasts all day and doesn't budge when set properly. I find that it cakes ever-so-slightly in some areas but I take responsibility for that as I have dry skin and this foundation is formulated for oilier skin types. It's all good news, apart from the packaging which is a giant pain in the behind!! It needs to be poured out (i.e. no pump) which can get kinda messy and frustrating fast. Other than that, this foundation is a good buy, especially if you can get it on special for 50% off.

This is an easy to apply foundation at an affordable price.

I've found the shade range quite good. I don't have to mix shades to get a better match, I can use it straight out of the bottle and I haven't experienced any oxidising.

The product can be built up in layers to add coverage. Concealer blends well over the top. It lasts quite well throughout the day (after powdering).

The finish is perfectly fine with a brush. I use it that way on an everyday basis, but the finish with a sponge is really nice so it would be just as good for special occasions.

I was so excited to try this foundation after reading some great reviews. I have enlarged pores and did definitely find that it minimised the look of my pores but I did not find it was matte enough. I loved the finish as it wasnt cakey matte, but I did found it did not stay on my face as long as other matte foundations. For the price though, I would buy it again for days when I do not need my foundation to last as long.

I swap and change foundation quite frequently purely because I can't help myself and have no self control what so ever!

I have combination skin that tends to get more on the oily side during summer. I've been using this foundation since high school and still usually have a bottle stashed away ready for use.

The formula is light and slightly running but its buildable so you can work it up to suit your tone. This foundation blends like a dream, covers imperfections and looks nice and natural. The shade range is also extensive so you're sure to find your perfect fit!

The only thing I don't like about this foundation is that the bottle doesn't come with a pump nd excessive product may come out but it's a small price to pay for the quality. This is a great product to use if you're a newbie too!

Like the dewy version, this used to be a foundation I used daily. The formula has a medium coverage that dries down to a completely matte finish. After using it I eventually realised the shade was too pink for me and I couldn't find one that matched my skin tone. Although it blended flawlessly and was very long lasting, I found this foundation to be heavier than the dewy version and left my skin feeling dry and a little tight, even with a hydrating primer. The packaging desperately needs a pump as the foundation is very runny and it is hard to pour out the right amount when tipping it out. It also gets very mess as the foundation has a tendency to run over the rim and transfer onto the inside of the cap and down the neck.

I’ve been using this for a few years now and it’s definitely my favourite foundation in terms of coverage, formula and tone.
The only problem I have with it is it oxidises FAST, and it does turn orangey. I’m an ivory shade and yes even ivory is dark compared to other brands. So I use it because I am generally fake tanned most the time and it matches beautifully.
But if I am my natural pale self... this foundation is no good to me. Which is a shame because it’s such a nice quality foundation for the price. Maybelline need to sort out their oxidising issues because it seems to be with their entire range.

Having dry skin, I'm not normally someone who would go towards a matte finish foundation. But I received this a while ago, and decided that I will give it a try.
Since their shade extension, I have found that it's much easier to find a match.I have the shade 112 and it matches me quite well, but does oxidise a little.

Although, this foundation has a matte finish, I do find that my skin still has a shiny finish to it. This may also be the primer I use, so I'm not entirely sure. The coverage is medium, but can be built up to provide a more full-coverage look for those who like more glam. It applies well with a sponge, and lasts all day. I don't find that it transfers.

The packaging is what really lets this one down. I really wish that it came with a pump, as it would make it so much easier to dispense. I've given it one less star because of this, because I really feel that a lot of product is wasted when you have to pour it out yourself.

I have tried several drug store foundations from L'Oreal, Revlon, Models Prefer, etc. All of them give me dry patches on the skin and dont give me great coverage. This foundation is perfect for my oily skin with large pores! It's quite mate and it lasts for a long time during the day. It's also quite affordable so it's perfect. I always but it on half price at the Chemist
