FOUND: This chemical-free lipstick is the perfect brown nude shade

Honestly, I’m not a huge lipstick wearer. My lips seems to always be dry, no matter how much lip balm I apply, which makes lipstick feel uncomfortable. I usually go for a tinted balm or gloss instead. So when I was asked to test the VonBlü Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Lara, I was happy to try it out but wasn’t expecting it to become a regular in my routine. Boy, was I wrong.

This lipstick does not feel like a regular lipstick. Immediately after applying it I noticed that it felt more like a creamy balm. Which is impressive for a lipstick with decent coverage and a matte finish. I immediately checked the ingredients and found that it was formulated with Vitamin E for hydration. Good one VonBlü Cosmetics!
I looked into the brand further and discovered that not only is VonBlü Cosmetics an Australian brand, but their products are made from natural oils and waxes and are free from chemicals and synthetics. Natural brands always score extra points from me, but when their products are THIS good, I’m impressed. The packaging of their lipsticks is just as carefully formulated. Each lipstick comes in a unique pop tube that not only looks chic, but clicks shut to avoid accidental openings in your handbag. Genius.
Now, onto the colour. When I do wear lipstick, I usually opt for a nude. Some may say that’s boring, but I think that nothing looks more polished than a perfect nude lipstick. I tend to go for pinky nudes, as they suit my complexion best. Lara is a brown nude shade, which is something I’ve always wanted to pull off (because hello, Kardashians) but have never been able to find one that works for my skin tone. Amazingly, when I looked in the mirror after applying Lara, I really liked what I saw: A brown nude lipstick that actually suited me!
Other lipsticks we love: Barry M Ultra Moisturising Lip Paint, Mavala Switzerland Mavalip Lipstick, Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lipstick

I have this lipstick and love love love it! It is a great colour, nice and nourishing and wears well. The packaging is so damn cute too. With a little button on the top of the lid that you push and it releases it’s just so handy because there are no stray lids in your handbag.

I don't remeber the shade name TUD but it was a nude brown shade. On its own it doesn't suit me but I blend it with other colours or lipliners to make it work.

Reminds me of the nude shades Cordovan and Violet Mousse from Karen Murrel, another natural lippie brand. I wear those shades all the time but am always up to try something new : )

A dusky rose pink shade looks best on me though my favourite brown shade that I've been wearing lately is Rimmel London's Provocalips "Make Your Move". It's not as brown as one thinks.

The nude brown is really nice! But the problem with lipsticks is that it's hard to try it in store

I remember seeing it in the Beauty Rewards Room as well. But I ended up going for the MAC as I have never used a MAC lipstick before and it won out on that.

I have the shade Riva and it is so pretty! I am in love with Von Blu even though their lipsticks are a little too light for my pigmented lips.
