Find out what's really in your face wipes
Face wipes may all seem like much of a muchness, but as our most recent ‘scientific experiment’ revealed, not all face wipes are actually created equal. Watch our video above to see what happens when we put the all-natural WOTNOT Facial Wipes up against a selection of leading competitor face wipes on the market. You may be surprised at the results…What do you look for a in face wipe? Are you cautious about what you put on your skin?

Facewipes are too abrasive for me.

I hardly use any face wipes these days. I just have them for emergency clean ups or for when I'm travelling.

Only in emergencies I think - great for the occasional lazy night and they are good for that. I have to admit that I still enjoy a bit of a rinse and splash of water after using one.

I don't like to use face wipes. I've read a lot of articles that advise against using them because they are harsher on your skin than cleansing so I prefer the double cleansing method.

I don't really use wipes. Micellar water I do and always cleanse afterwards.

I use wipes first when removing my makeup but I always follow it up with a facial cleanser

I rarely use wipes because wiping my face irritates my skin, the Simple brand work best for me but I’ve not set them on fire lol

Me too Yohanna! I'm looking at the ingredients in what I have, I can't understand them as they are all long chemical names....bye bye Garnierm :( amongst others. Great review!!!

I love WotNot wipes and made the switch from chemical ones to WotNot years ago. They're the best at removing makeup and full of natural ingredients that don't leave a gross chemical residue all over your face causing breakouts!

I don't wear a lot of make-up but when I do, I find wipes a very easy way to remove it. I have trialed many brands. Most are quite good, even the very cheap supermarket brands. However, with sensitive skin, I have had several serious chemical burns from a couple of brands. The worst had a citrus scent and a good quality wipe (I don't remember the brand). My reaction was so bad, I needed oral steroids to treat it along with burn cream. I even react to good brands. Swisspers caused problems too. The second I feel a tingle I have to rush to wash it off - kind of defeats the purpose of using wipes. I am not a brand name advocate but I can also use Johnsons, both normal and sensitive skin packs without harmful results. I might have to give "Wotnot" a go!

I don't really use Face Wipes any more. I have some Wot Not face wipes that I use when I am desperate but that's about it!

I only use face wipes if travelling and on the go, i.e. in emergencies. Otherwise, I generally avoid them. They are predominantly full of a lot of alcohol and chemicals and you are not actually "cleaning" your face - you are moving residual product to the sides of your face in most cases. Ongoing use will also cause sensitivity to your skin if you don't properly clean with a cleanser and rely on wipes on a daily basis, which I do know a lot of women do. Each to their own, of course.

I've only tried facial wipes once - fortunately a free sample and they badly irritated my skin. If I need a quick cleanse I use some micellar water
