The best ever tips for travelling with a baby

The truth? Travelling with a baby is not without its challenges. Between the time differences, mood swings, dirty nappies and feeding, there’s a lot more work than relaxation going on. And while flying with an infant may seem like a daunting task for new parents, with a little preparation, your first flight with your little one can be a totally manageable (and dare we say, fun) experience for the whole family.

Consider flight times
While it might be cheaper to fly later in the day, if your baby tends to get a little tired and grumpy in the afternoon, it’s worth paying that little bit extra to have a fuss-free flight.
Arrive Early
As you’ve probably already learned, everything takes just that little bit longer with a baby in tow. Avoid the stress of rushing to your gate (or even worse, missing your flight!) by allowing plenty of time to get to the airport, through security and to your gate.
Carry snacks
Feed your baby during take-off and landing, as this prevents their ears from popping and provides a distraction. Some airlines provide baby meals, which you can request during your booking. However, you should always carry snacks that you know you’re baby will enjoy, especially if they have allergies. Similarly, it’s important to ensure your baby stays hydrated throughout the flight.
Baggage allowance
Babies come with a lot of baggage - strollers, capsules, nappies, bottles - so it’s important to check what you can and can’t take on the plane. This may vary between airlines, so always check each individual site before arriving at the airport. And don’t forget to consider domestic versus international liquid limits!
Carry-On Is Essential
(Obviously). Only don't forget that you'll need more nappies packed into that bag than just the length of the flight. Don't forget to factor in getting to the airport, waiting at the airport and travelling to your final destination as well. Your new mantra? ALWAYS OVERPACK. If you think you'll be safe with fice nappies, add another two or three. Next, make sure you're well stocked with baby wipes, sanitary wipes a change of clothing for your baby and an extra top for yourself. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best!
Climate Control
Plans can be icy cold or stuffy and warm (read: never the right temperature). Make sure your babe is prepared for anything by dressing him/her in layers. Don't forget things like socks, and of course, their favourite blanket.

I have used spell casting to get my ex husband back to me and also get pregnant with twins girls through the help of a great and trusted spell caster after 12 years of marriage.
When I came online last year, I met a testimony about Priest ODUNGA who has been helping people and I decided to contact him. We spoke on email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and later he gave me his Whats App number which is +2348167159012 and he assured me he would help me get my ex husband back after 3 years of no contact. My husband left me because I was unable to give him a child for 9 years after our marriage. There was no contact between us anymore and I didn't know how to get to him. Priest Odunga is the best spell caster I must say. My husband called me after 24 hours of contacting Priest Odunga. Soon I received a herbal medicine for fertility from this man, I became fertile. I and my husband reconnected that very week, had sex and I became pregnant. Today, I am happy today to be the mother of twins girls and this is ALL THANKS TO PRIEST ODUNGA. I came online to say this If you need help, I believe you are saved with this spell caster. Contact his email at (odungaspelltemple@gmail.com) and you too will give a testimony too to help others

I've never had to travel with kids but I am always empathetic to the parents on flights

I've always been like that, too, Snailor, and now that I have a child I'm even more empathetic. I see mums out and about with a crying baby and I really feel for them. x

I feel the same freaky! I had enough trouble getting my bubba on a bus. But now that she's older, I feel a bit more confident when it comes to public transport and flying. x

Reading this and remembering when I was a kid... I feel bad for my parents because I was such a difficult kid on a flight.

I'm sure you weren't BlueBit. I just think that travelling on anything from a bus to a train to an airplane is hard for a child - it's so restrictive and weird for them.

I once traveled with a 6 week old and almost 2 year old alone for 10 hours via bus, train then back on a bus. I wouldn't recommend it! lol

I can just imagine, it must be tough getting the kiddlings to calm down in a confined space such as the plane.

I'm not a mother, but rather I'm loaded with esteem for any parent that goes with youngsters

All the tips are very useful but I would like to add if you are travelling with toddlers or kids just pack crayons and colouring books ,games or puzzles for them as I have travelled internationally and trust me it's not easy. Kids just cry and become unstoppable. So carry things to make them distract as they get bored of one thing very easily.

Thankfully my son was a good traveller so he was never a problem. Of course, the younger they are the more supplies you have to travel with. I even took a snuggle bed with us to England because I knew none of the people we would be staying with had a cot.
