5 reasons Beyonce runs the world

In case you’re living under a rock, Beyoncé’s Sydney tour kicks off tonight – and I’m GOING! Cue high-school-girl scream! Besides being obviously overwhelmed with excitement, I’m also a little in awe.

This is a woman who can achieve just about anything. When she sets her mind to something, she achieves it, which is why she is so successful and even more inspiring.

REASON WE LOVE QUEEN BEY #1: She makes some pretty awesome scents

Her signature scent, Heat, first knocked our socks off when it launched in February of 2010 with the tagline “catch the fever”. With notes of red vanilla orchid, blush peach and almond macaroon; it was certainly a juice that pleased the senses. What Beyoncé didn’t know at the time, was that Heat would go on to be one of the largest-selling fragrances in America. After Heat came Midnight Heat , a slightly deeper, moodier version of the original, and Pulse, a muskier, more sophisticated scent. Most recently, Beyoncé launched The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour Limited Edition Fragrance in a blue coloured Heat-style bottle to celebrate her latest world tour. As a rival for Rihanna in the style chameleon stakes, Beyoncé rarely rocks the same look twice. REASON WE LOVE QUEEN BEY #3: She’s a one-man woman

Even before the birth of their beautiful daughter Blue, Beyoncé has always managed to stay out of the press for the wrong reasons and has enjoyed a seemingly trouble-free relationship with rapper Jay-Z. Naww, is there anything better than a Hollywood couple that lasts? Bey has even named her world tour after her new and much-loved title, Mrs. Carter.

REASON WE LOVE QUEEN BEY #4: Her concerts are out-of-this-world

If you’ve ever seen her in concert, you’ll no doubt be nodding your head in agreement. Beyoncé is hard-working and a true performer through and through. She expects the same from her colleagues too, once stating, “If I’m not sleeping, nobody’s sleeping.” Great for us, not so great for her dancers! If history is anything to go by, we have no doubt that The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour will be even better than anything she’s ever done before.

REASON WE LOVE QUEEN BEY #5: She’s a perfectionist (and sweet as sugar!)

Did you know that after viewing a YouTube clip of a couple of African boys dancing an unbelievably difficult piece of choreography, Beyoncé flew them to Los Angeles and asked them to teach her the routine as her top choreographers in LA couldn’t recreate it? Not only that – the boys actually star in the ‘Girls’ video clip, standing in front of Beyoncé during the dance routine.
