L’Oreal Magic Retouch Precision
I have a lot of grey hairs so when my regrowth from dying my hair grows, you can see a lot of the grey hairs.
L’Oreal Magic Retouch Precision product is perfect when in between hair appointments. It is so easy to use and apply on the grey hair.
I find 2 coats covers the grey hairs and the dark brown color I chose blends very well with my hair.
The product does have a strong scent but it did not bother me at all.
I find L’Oreal Magic Retouch Precision is easier to use than a powder even the sprays as you are covering the exact areas, therefore the name lives up to what it does.
I am very happy and will swap over to this product.

QUICK AND MESS FREE
The L’Oréal Magic Retouch Precision is a concealer . What a fantastic clever product I had never thought of trying product like this but it is really good . This is great when you are in a hurry and don't have time to dye your hair . It's so simple and quick to use and very handy for unexpected events .it's quick and mess free to use .just apply and go . The colour matched my hair colour perfect too.
This product is so innovative and provides excellent coverage for grey hair , it's easy to apply and once applied it last for quite long time . The brush is like a mascara wand . Colour blend very well in my roots and grey hair . It was easy to use and washed out as well . Well done L'Oreal another fantastic product

Maybe I'm doing something wrong
So I've read everyone else's reviews and come to the conclusion that maybe it's me that's wrong and not the product!
The packaging was good, it was clear to see what it was, what it was for and what colour was inside. It was easy to open the box.
The tube inside resembles a mascara tube but the applicator is like a plastic brush more than a mascara wand.
The design of the tube means that it won't allow too much product out which is always handy!
I brushed my hair and applied it to the most obvious sprinkles of tinsel (yes my grey hairs are my tinsel). It immediately looked wet and slicked back. I didn't have 5 minutes to wait for it to dry so I got my hair dryer out to dry it. It still took a couple of minutes to dry.
I then brushed it out again and tied it back.
I'm not sure if I didn't use enough product or if my grey hairs are extra stubborn but you could still see them shining through.
My biggest issue was, although it blended really well with my natural colour, you could see where I applied it. It looked greasy and a bit strange.
Overall it's not really a product that works for me but as I said, others have said different so it may help to read a few reviews before making a decision.
Don't use before going to the gym! It runs!!!

Great quick fix for those grey strands !
L'oreal Magic Retouch Precision is an instant concealer brush that claims to hide grey strands . I was so excited to try this product as I have just recently started getting a few grey strands here and there. This is such a great idea to tie me over until my next hair appointment.
At first glance this product resembles a mascara with its 8ml tube packaging and fine, thin mascara like brush. As per directed I pulled back my dry detangled hair back and gently applied the wand over the few grey strands that was visible and then grabbed a comb to distribute the product evenly. It was super easy to apply , the formula was of a good consistency, not too thick or thin.
I was pleasantly surprised that my grey stands were no longer there to see , the concealer had worked amazing and had blended in so well with my hair colour!
I did find it took a little longer then 5 mins to dry but apart from that I found this to be a great little item , perfect to hide those pesky little grey strands !
Definitely will be continuing to use this and will purchase again in the future and definitely recommend!

theres easier alternatives
look, ok. so this product works. it covered my greys pretty darn well and was quite easy to use, the brush/wand was actually surprisingly good! i underestimated that part but it grabbed onto your hairs extremely well and was able to coat all the little individual strands without getting the product on your skin or scalp if you were careful.
the problem i have with it is the dry down time. it takes 5-10 minutes to feel fully dry and some of us just dont have the time or patience first thing in the to wait for that, once dry though it didnt feel stiff or crunchy nor did it transfer too much, i just personally cant be bothered with the wait time. i have grey hairs coming through and honestly i dont really care that i do, i do sye my hair but have always done so before greys started coming through so covering them up isnt a huge importance to me, if theyre there - theyre there and if i do want to cover them a touch, a black eyeshadow and a dense makeup brush works just as good and it doesnt have a dry time.

a great hair product
I really liked how easy this was to use, and that the colour matched my hair quite well and it looked very natural. It lasted until the next wash out as well and wasn't messy when you touched your hair as I'm a face toucher and touch my hair a lot. It's very sleek packaging and I like that it is small and portable so you can easily put it in your makeup bag so you have it readily on the go. It doesn't make my hair feel like I have product in it which I like and it is a great and handy product to have. It doesn't smudge and doesn't have any scent which I appreciate.
use it when needing to make yourself feel confident

Much better than the spray version!
Thank you BH for the opportunity to trial this product.
I admit I was a little hesitant when I first realised what this product was, as I really hated its spray counterpart. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it.
The formula seems to be the same as the spray but in a cute little brush. It looks like a mascara and applies accurately so there's no mess. This worked well for reducing waste and ensuring coverage. As with the spray, you have to let it dry so there's no transfer of colour.
My only criticism is that it's time consuming for someone like me who has a significant amount of greys. Despite this, I found myself using it often to at least cover the majority of greys. I would definitely recommend it if you don't have a huge amount of grey hair. I'll use the rest of it but probably won't repurchase simply because it's not adequate coverage for my level of grey hair.
Make sure you brush your hair first and let the product dry thoroughly.

Conceal on the run
I do have a root concealing spray I use at times, but I really love this nifty product because it’s so much easier and more precise. It’s great for updos, as you can stroke it over the areas around your temples etc and get a really precise look with no mess. I found myself using it on my part line most days and could hardly feel it when touching my hair later which I was happy about. It also didn’t transfer onto my fingers which is something I worry about.
It can be really time consuming to apply if you have really full on roots. You can sort of diffuse it through your part and blend a little if you get worn out though.
I like to keep mine in my handbag in case I spot something in the rear view I might not have seen in the bathroom lighting.

Root touch up for grey hair
I was sent the L’Oréal magic root touch to trial in the shade blonde. The product come in a mascara stone with a rubbery plastic shaped wand. The shade selected in blonde had an orange hint to it so when applied to the roots it did give off too much orange for my liking. The product was easy to apply to the root but if left without brushing through the hair would stay in a clump. So you needed to brush the product through a few times and once dry to brush the roots with a normal brush also. This just may have been my fine hair type and the product being quite thick and heavy on the roots. Maybe j didn’t have enough grey roots for the product to cover properly as I found that it didn’t work that well. I tried it on my mum who has completely white roots and the product seemed to work much better. The shade blonde needs to be a little lighter I think as it was still too dark for my liking. This product didn’t have much of a scent or seem to cause any irritation on the scalp. Would I repurchase this product? Probably not, however it isn’t a bad product, maybe the shade just want for me.

Mask regrowth with this new product from L'Oreal
L'Oreal's Magic Retouch is a new wand type product - kinda looks like mascara - but for your hair! I always try to get my hair done before a big event like a wedding but sometimes its impossible to fit in with other commitments - this product would be perfect for times like these. You simply swipe the Magic Retouch wand through your hair and it colours it to make your regrowth a bit less obvious. Applying it was pretty straight forward - the applicator is like a mascara wand but slightly different with a comb-like appearance. You just swipe it across your regrowth... then the product dries and you are left with minimised regrowth for the day/evening.
Now, while this product is a good idea and I could see myself using it more there are a few things I didn't like about this product. The colour dries hard, kinda like gel or hairspray when it has dried... I find this would work for your hair when you have it up, like a ponytail or bun but I don't think it would work too well if your hair was down. I think it would look a bit funny having the top of your hair gelled down and the rest free and flowing. The colour I received (blonde) didn't really match my dyed hair colour very well, and with only 11 shades I feel like other people might have this problem too.
Overall, I think this product is a great idea but a few small tweaks and I think it could be even better!

There are better options on the market already.
Trailing the Magic Retouch Precision instant grey concealer brush left me dissatisfied.
I have blonde hair which I tie up most days so the appeal of a quick and easy wand to cover the greys close to my face was fantastic however this product was less then fantastic.
On application the mascara type bottle seems convenient, however when the application wand is drawn from the tube there is lots of product on the plastic flat comb. Too much to apply evenly along the hair line with out blobs. The product applies wet and sticky to the hair requires lots of combining which then looses the colour.
This product didn’t sit well in my hair and looked terrible and obvious.
I felt like this product was a step back in time and not at all and advanced new product.
The smell is very strong from the product and very much smells like chemicals .
Apply lightly to avoid product build up.
May work best in dark hair where the product may be less obvious.

I tried this product as part of the BH trial team. Since I have dark brown/black hair, I received the black shade and it matched my hair pretty well. The packaging is sleek, you can easily mistake it for a mascara as it is a tube with a wand quite similar to that of a mascara. At first, I wasn’t sure how the wand would work and felt that I might smear the color while touching up all over my forehead area as most of my greys peek through around that area. It was very easy to apply and it didn’t smear at all, the wand worked really well even when I wiped the excess off before running it through my hair. It coated my hair well and didn’t stand out, in fact once it was on, I couldn’t figure out which strand had I coloured as it looked so natural. Loved the staying power of it as it didn’t smudge and stayed on till I washed my hair which is usually every alternate day. It’s a great product and I will definitely repurchase once It gets over
Single out the strand before colouring if it’s too long and near the face or forehead to avoid accidentally smearing it on your face. Also, combing the section of hair where you have touched up, ensures the colour looks natural

Great for touch up on regrowth
I was one of lucky members to try this new product from Loreal.
This product comes in a small tube like a mascara and also has a small applicator like those for eyelash lengthening mascara which does not have any brush bristles on them.
I was given a sample for dark brown hair which i find matches my hair colour nicely. However, the product does come in a nice range of colours from blond, brown to black. At the moment, it lacks other colour like red, purple or more orange colours. There is a simple 3 step instruction with pictures at the back of the box.
The product itself does not appear to have any fragrance. Other than the dark brown colour, i think it has some metalic colouring in it. I find the applicator a bit hard to distribute the product evenly across my hair, and i thought i would much prefer an applicator with brush bristles on it. After applying the product on my hair, i was very please with the fact that it does not transfer any colour onto clothes even when i deliberately rub a tissue against my hair. It also washes easily away with plain water even without soap/shampoo.
I do have some concerns about using the product in wet weather or while exercising with sweat as i am worried if the colour may run and stain clothes.

A good quick fix
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to trial this product.
I have dark brown hair naturally which I dye a few shades darker, and to hide an increasing number of random greys (by which I mean pure white hairs). This trial was actually perfectly timed as I do need to dye my roots but haven't had the time or money lately.
For the most part others don't seem to notice my greys (even my best friend, bless her) but I've a few on my temples and along my part near my forehead which I notice every time I look in a mirror.
I did like this product as it's quick and easy, although the brown shade is a bit lighter and warmer than my hair colour, and in addition to the fact my greys are pure snow white, I could still see where they were, but I doubt anyone else would be able to spot them even close-up.
It does take a few minutes to dry before you're able to brush it through, but it lasts until you next shampoo your hair, so I'll definitely keep using this in between root touch-ups.

A good grey cover
I was sent the Loreal Magic Retouch Precision - Instant Grey Concealer Brush as part of the trial team. The shade I received was Dark Brown. I have quite a lot of grey hair coming through at my hairline, along my forehead, which is very noticeable with my dark hair. The product comes in a mascara tube, which is a stunning teal colour. The mascara wand is actually a plastic comb, which is quite easy to use in the hair. I liked that there is a stopper that controls the amount of product on the wand. I have tried other instant products to cover my greys, particularly sprays. I always found the sprays messy, both in application and in the hair. The Magic Retouch Precision is so easy to use, there's no mess, and it dries well in my hair. I have noticed that my hair looks a tad bit greasier when using this, but when I looked at the product, I noticed it has a slight shimmer to it, which is making my hair look (but not feel) greasy. I found that I can still use dry shampoo and it doesn't apply any differently on top of this product. Overall, I will continue to use this.
Allow to dry for approximately 5 minutes before styling and you won't have any transfer.

Very effective and practical!
I definitely recommend this product; it very successfully masks grey hairs, is packaged super conveniently (pop it in your purse for if/when you find stray greys you missed before) and is relatively easy to use.
I would prefer a more "brush like" applicator - right now I'm using a fine comb to evenly distribute the product but I feel like a mascara type brush applicator could be doing the same thing, and that way you don't need to carry a "stained" comb with you when using this product.
The smell is very chemical, but that is to be expected - it is basically hairdye.
The product dries quickly, but not too quick to adjust it after application - I apply, brush and then let it dry for 5 minutes. I do then remove any excess producy left with a tissue (gently) just to ensure there is no staining after applying.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how natural and subtle the shade of the product is. Products I previously tried to cover stray greys always looked "paint like" on my hair; this actually looks pretty natural! I did find the dyed strands felt a bit "crunchy", but found no damage in my hair after use.
I wash my hair once or twice a week and the product often lasted at least 3-4 days after application. A very good, practical product and I am verbally recommending it to all my friends!

Easy to use
I was lucky enough to trial this product as part of the trial team. First thoughts are what an easy convenient idea. It comes in a great little bottle like mascara and is easy to put in your bag. I love the concept that I can just quick apply to my hair to hide my grey hairs.
When using this product my first concern is the colour it would be very hard to match your colour purchasing like this. I was lucky and my colour match was pretty close.
I found it was easy to apply to the front of my hair, harder to apply to anywhere else but the front as I can not see as well.
This is something I would have in my bag for emergency situations and be able to quickly apply in between hair appointments and if I have an event on.
This is easy and quick to use, would use in emergency situations only.

Easiest grey cover ever ! No mess ! No transfer !
I absolutely love this product! I've tried many root touch up sprays but never a wand like this one. The flaw in the sprays is the mess and the smudging and transfer of colour during the day. But with this magic retouch I didn't experience any of that!!
It looks very similar to a mascara wand and is so easy to apply where you need to cover. I love that there is no mess and zero smudging or transfer during the day. I can confidently recommend this product. Colour touch ups look natural and blend in nicely. This product is perfect for my greys and root touch ups.
To apply, all you do is untwist and apply to the sections of hair you would like to cover. The wand is like a plastic comb, the size of a thin mascara wand. This looked strange at first but really helps with even application. Once the colour is on your hair, you can brush through or hair dry your hair. But all I do is blot with a tissue and then brush my hair and style as normal.
I recommend blotting applied area with a tissue before combing through your hair. This speeds up the drying time. Use for small sections of regrowth.
This product is perfect for people experiencing greys and regrowth. It's easy to take with you during the day if you plan on changing your hair style and great for travel. The cover up is so quick and mess free! I will be repurchasing this !

HEALTHY CLEAN HAIR
This product left my hair feeling clean healthy and shiny, my hair is very fragile and thin, but with this it felt healthy and shiny.
it smelt very nice an refreshing, a little product went a long way, considering that my hair being very very long, i never had to use too much product. styling hair was even more fun after using this product as hair felt really smooth and silky with no tangles.
hair remained clean for a long time, with other products oil on hair reappears in a short while, also think my dandruffs are lessening.
This product is ideal for dead damaged hair, it revives revives and revives, i cannot imagine how my hair will be after using this product on a daily basis.
really loved this product, will surely recommend it to my friends and family.
Best part is that i had tangle free hair after the wash. YAY!

Instantly covers greys and regrowth
Thank you to L’oreal and BH for the chance to test out this new hair colour retoucher.
I find this product quick and easy to apply as part of my morning routine. With just a few strokes the precision applicator brush works well to deposit the root retoucher where I need it most. It’s a very convenient way to quickly, easily and instantly cover up my regrowth or pesky grey hairs from the comfort of my home.
It delivers a natural looking coverage that blends seamlessly with my natural hair colour. One application lasts well throughout the day and even up until the next time I need to wash my hair.
Costing $17.95 for an 8ml tube I think this is good value for money and the tube should last a while. I would happily recommend this root retoucher to anyone looking for a quick and easy way to instantly covers greys and regrowth.
