Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum Reviews

I was put on a 90 days Ultraceuticals Skin Challenge through BH and I received and have been using the Ultra A Skin Perfecting Serum product along with other Ultraceuticals products for the past 3 months.

The boxed Ultra A serum comes in a tall cylindrical opaque plastic bottle with a pump for dispensing the serum. The pump has a safety lock that you twist to lock and unlock the dispenser. The airtight bottle and opaque packaging is designed to keep the serum sealed and protected from air and sunlight to prevent destabilizing the product. This is a well-designed and well-thought out packaging and I’m impressed as I want the serum to retain its quality till the last drop.

The Ultra A serum is opaque, beige is colour and creamy but lightweight. It has a mild botanical, herbal scent, spreads and is absorbed quickly. The serums scent is mild and doesn’t linger much after I put it on. I only need about three pumps (pea-sized amount) of the product to cover my face and eye area. I’ve been instructed to use this serum at night post cleanse with the Ultra Balancing Gel Cleanser. It is a creamy texture but if you have dry, dehydrated skin like mine, the serum must be followed up with a hydrating moisturizer. After waiting a few minutes for the serum to absorb I follow it up with the Ultra Moisturising Cream from Ultraceuticals.

I have used retinols prior to using this product so I didn’t have any reactions to the retinol in the serum. This could also be attributed to the serum being formulated with pro-vitamin C and bromelain to minimise any irritation caused by the retinol and to improve skins clarity, and texture. Over the last three months I have seen fine lines on my forehead and eye area gradually diminish. My skin looks and feels smoother and youthful. I’m pleased with the results from using this serum in conjunction with other Ultraceuticals products.

I think Ultraceuticals uses a fantastic combination of cell-communicating active ingredients and I would purchase products with these ingredients as I got amazing results.
