Anti-ageing skin care benefits of snake venom

I am terrified of snakes. Like, absolutely petrified. Even thinking about those devious slimy creatures gives me the utter creeps. However, I’m not afraid to utilise snake venom in the name of beauty. Because it might just be the ultimate anti-ageing ingredient yet...
What is snake venom and how does it work?
Snake venom is a snake's main form of defence. When under attack, a snake bites its prey, simultaneously injecting a toxin through its fangs. Said toxin paralyses the prey's muscles, leaving them unable to fight back.
Why is snake venom so useful as an anti-ageing ingredient?
Snake venom's ability to freeze muscles makes it an anti-ageing wonder, but since the real deal is extremely poisonous, the beauty world has taken the concept of snake venom and created a perfectly safe, synthetic venom called SYN-AKE to mimic its freezing effect. It helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles by freezing the muscles, creating a smooth complexion without the need for injectables like Botox (it’s actually been scientifically proven to reduce forehead wrinkle by up to a whopping 52 per cent!) Better yet, it doesn't prevent facial movement, so you'll never be left looking expressionless.
Is it a popular anti-ageing ingredient?
Celebrities will do almost anything to maintain a youthful complexion, and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Katie Holmes and Gwyneth Paltrow all have nothing but praise for this ingenious anti-ageing ingredient. This can only mean one thing: it really does work.

Which products contain this incredible ingredient?
We love Lacura Skin Science WrinkleStop – a concentrated anti-ageing product that contains the active SYN-AKE ingredient. This anti-ageing innovation is rather wonderful at targeting wrinkles in problematic areas (read: around the eyes, mouth and nose), leaving you with a relaxed, fresh appearance. It's also super-easy to apply thanks to its ingenious applicator.
But if you really want to see outrageously incredible results, you'll partner up this treatment product with these two SYN-AKE-containing goodies: Lacura Skin Science WrinkleStop Anti-Ageing Day Cream SPF 15 and Lacura Skin Science WrinkleStop Anti-Ageing Night Cream. At only $14.95 each, they're a terrific anti-ageing trio, and are suitable for all ages and all skin types. (Hallelujah!) However, the sad news it this: they are only available at Aldi from November 20 for a limited time so stock up on them! Stock up on them now! I know I will be. In fact, I'll race you to Aldi right now...
Have you ever heard of the synthetic snake venom ingredient SYN-AKE? Could your complexion benefit from its muscle-freezing, skin-smoothing qualities? Are you impressed by the Lacura Skin Science WrinkleStop ranges' affordable price?

Its annoying those limited time products. I wont buy them to not get attached if its a good product only to be set up for disappointment. I wish Aldi also regularly stocked their moroccan shampoo and conditioner

Aliexpress.com has snake venom creams and sleep in night mask cheaper, however, they are mailed from Korea, China, Thailand and Japan. I purchased a sleep in night mask snake venom which cost me $8.50 for 100g. It is not a sticky product, slight scent and after 45 minutes of the first use; I started to feel the tingling at my chin, cheeks, crows feet, upper lip and forehead. I read when you feel the tingling that is when you know that the product is working.

I have wondered for quite a while if this would be an effective product to use and would definitely consider trying it if it were affordable. Unfortunately, Aldi does not have any stores in SA so I don't have access to their brand, which means it isn't a particularly affordable option for me right now :(

I'm a fence sitter on this one. The Lacura products have come a long way since they were first introduced as Aldi products. I don't know if I'm game enough to try this product on my skin - synthetic or not!

This is not snake venom. It is a chemical synthetic. Just be aware that it is not the natural product. It may work and work well but it is really not snake venom.

I haven't heard of this before and I'm not sure I will try it. Wrinkles and fine lines are not a concern at this stage but perhaps in another 5-10 years time, I might reconsider this beauty product.
