What is a concentrate?
Think of a concentrate like a supercharged serum. Concentrates have a rich formula, and are usually thinner and more oil-like in texture. They contain high concentrations of active ingredients, which absorb deeply into the skin to give it a healthy boost.
Like serums, there are many different types of skin concentrates out there that target specific concerns, such as lines and wrinkles, dehydration, redness and uneven skin tone. If you’re already using a serum, switch to a concentrate for a few weeks and see how your skin benefits. You may find that it works to improve your skin concerns more quickly and effectively than serum.
How do I use a concentrate?
The best time to use one is after cleansing and toning, when your skin is clean and your pores are open. At this point, your skin is prepped and ready to soak up all its nourishing goodness. Then, put two to three drops of concentrate on your fingertips and gently rub them together to warm up the product. Starting at your nose, smooth the serum outwards and over your entire face, focusing on areas of concern like crow’s feet or dry patches. When you’re done, apply your moisturiser as usual.
