Halle Berry's hydrating (and delicious) at-home face mask recipe

She’s been named the most beautiful woman in the world (several times) and while we can’t guarantee her beauty tips are a one-way ticket to her signature glowing skin, we can still hope.
Halle Berry’s DIY face mask has become a staple during her quarantine routine, nd as an added bonus, it comes without the usual A-lister price tag.

Sharing her recipe to @respin’s Instagram, Halle credits the at-home face mask as a magic potion that “brightens, tightens, reduces fine lines and enhances that natural glow”.
The best part? Everything you need is most likely sitting in your kitchen.
Halle Berry's face mask recipe
-
¼ cup of plain yoghurt - gently exfoliates and removes dead skin cells
-
½ teaspoon of lemon juice - cleanses, brightens and regenerates skin
-
1 pinch of turmeric powder - reduces inflammation and deeply nourishes
-
2 tablespoons of green tea - prevents premature ageing, combats UV damage and de-puffs skin
Method:
-
Mix all ingredients together and stir vigorously
-
Apply a generous coat on the face and neck, leaving on for approximately three minutes
-
Add a second coat and leave for 10 minutes
-
Rinse off with cold water, finishing with your favourite moisturiser

Not sure but you can use it either way, I have used green tea ice cubes before and they are amazing and at times I have added the tea leaves from the sachet which had added an exfoliating effect. Will let you know once I try it out what worked better :)

A few years back my middle daughter was recovering from a surgery and her boyfriend didnt want her at home alone so he dropped her here before he went to work. She decided that we were going to spend a day doing diy home beauty treatments. She raided my pantry and mixed up different things for our skin and hair. We had a great day.

I don't usually do DIY masks, but this one looks simple. I've always got turmeric on hand, but I'm out of yoghurt. I'll report back if I give it a go. I'm saving this article to favourites.

I'm not really into DIY masks, I have tried them in the past, but I didn't find the result any better than a less messy and more convenient store bought mask

I’ve never used DIY face masks. I find them too messy. I’d rather use something ready made.
