Vitamin C Brightening Serum Reviews

This product comes in a frosted bottle with a dropper. It's milky white in colour and I couldn't detect any scent.

It spreads smoothly on application so you don't need too much: a few drops cover my face and I can take it a little down to the neck (I have dry skin so my skin inhales product).

Having said this, I'm not sure how much is being absorbed. I've just put some on my hand and my skin is sticky and looks mildly radiant as I look at it in the light coming through the window (that's the glycerin).

I agree with other reviewers who've said that this formula didn't involve irritation or allergic reactions. I also agree with those who've said that other vitamin c serums can be too concentrated, but this one's gentle.

For me, I've happily used it for the past month and because it feels quite calming on the skin, it's been a relief for my dry skin in the morning, but then it feels dry again not long after, and that's when I go in with my moiturising cream.

Sadly, there's no noticeable change to my age spots (and I checked that with my husband to make sure), but it was still a pleasure to use this product - it's just the results I'm questioning (and therefore the product claims).

I was lucky enough to be picked for the trial team. I liked the clear bottle with the dropper. It was easy to see how much serum was left. The dropper was great as I did not have to waste too much serum. The serum absorbed easily into my skin and my skin feels hydrated. The bottle is 30 millilitres.

Boost Lab Products are made in NEw Zealand, nearly as good as made in Australia. I like to support locally made products.

I did not notice any fading age and sun spots. Maybe if I bought another bottle. I might get some fading. My skin did feel nice and plump after using, so the serum must be getting down to the lower layers of skin. I do not think the serum has lived up to the packaging of flawless skin, there are too many factors at play for this claim; age, how much sun you have had over the years, your usual skin care routine.

I was invited to trial the Boost Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum as part of the Bh Trial Team. I used the serum after cleansing and toning almost every morning for four weeks. The serum is packaged in a frosted grey glass 30ml bottle with a dropper. The serum is a light yellow colour and milky. Once applied, it is silky on the skin, absorbs very easily (my skin is dry to normal) and left a very slight tacky feel.

The serum contains a combination of vitamin C (SAP), B3 (niacinamide) and E. I found the serum to be quite hydrating, this seems to be due to the ingredient "Pentavitin", admittedly not an ingredient that I am familiar with.

After using this for almost 4 weeks, I don't notice a visible difference in the reduction of dark spots or visibly brighter skin. I would recommend the serum if you are after a hydrating serum with Vitamin C (and B) benefits in a modest price range, particularly for sensitive skin. I feel there are more effective dedicated Vitamin C serums on the market however may not provide the additional hydrating benefits.

was so excited to be accepted to be part of this boost lab trial team... after pregnancy my face  has been left with quite noticeable pigmentation and or dark spots... upon receipt of the product I felt the appearance of the package was really professional and looks to represent a quality product. The bottle is a great size presenting great value for money. easy application via built in eyedropper very cleaver and dispenses perfect amount of product so easy to control any wastage. the serum itself is a beautil light weight real serum texture and glides on the skin. my skin was quick to absorb the product without any oily residue. fantastic to wear under my daily moisturiser and make ups. after using for only just a week or so I definatly notice reduction in my dark spots and pigmentation. my skin feels and looks so smooth I even think the serum has helped with my wrinkles. will definatly recommend and buy again. what great product and real value for money. thanks BH.

I was bit sceptical at first because of the appearance of the serum, but only after a few days I started to love it! I have oily and acne prone skin and after consistently using this every morning (alongside cleanser, moisturiser and spf) my skin felt so nice and clean and made my skin tone look more even! Goes on so nicely and is probably the best vitamin c serum I’ve used. My skin has looked so much brighter and clearer with this serum alone! I saw results after one and a bit weeks and it has nearly been a month and I honestly love it and 100% want to purchase it when I run out (which will be in quite a while considering you only need a tiny amount). Definitely worth it. This is a simple product but is most definitely worth adding to your skin care routine.

The Boost Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum comes in very scientific packaging and a great bottle with an easy to use applicator. I find it very easy to adjust the amount of serum I want from the dispenser, therefore I don't risk any waste.

The serum itself feels great as it's applied onto my skin and very easy to distribute, especially into the drier parts of my skin. The serum forms a great barrier on my skin leaving it extremely well hydrated overnight and into the next day. My skin looks radiant and refreshed after 2 weeks of daily usage and my make-up has been applied effortlessly.

I love the fact this has Vitamin C as this is such a great ingredient to give a flawless and brighter look to my skin. I'd definitely recommend this to those who have drier skin and are looking for a serum to hydrate and uplift their complexion.

I’ve used plenty of vitamin C serums, but I haven’t been anywhere near as impressed by any of them as I am with this one. I am blown away by how affordable this serum is, but also really effective - with visible results in a short amount of time.

I’ve been applying this serum (rather generously) in the morning after cleansing and within a few days I noticed my skin looking really fresh and bright when I wake up. Nothing has changed in my night time routine so I know this serum is the reason.

The instructions say to apply a few drops, but I’ve just been going with a full dropper. If I was using one of the more pricey serums, I would be more careful to count my drops. But given this is such a budget friendly serum, I don’t mind being a bit more carefree with it, which is maybe why I’ve noticed such a difference in my skin so fast.

I love the texture of this serum, it absorbs really well and if I feel like putting makeup on over it, I have no issues with pilling. I honestly can’t fault this serum one bit and I will definitely be repurchasing when I’ve used the rest of this bottle.

I know we’re only a few weeks into 2021, but I’m going to say it - This is on my “best of 2021” list and I would not be at all surprised to see it in the Best In Beauty lineup this year.

This serum worked wonders to brighten my face and even out my skin. It was very potent and I was able to see results within a few uses of the serum. The product smelled great but was not overly overpowering. A little amount of this product went a long way- I can definitely see it lasting me for at least 4 - 5 months. It applied on as a smooth barrier and blended in very well with the skin.
I am the type of person who usually gets break outs from serums however was pleasantly surprised that this product didn't make me get any breakouts. In addition, it didn't feel too oily and applied on the face smoothly.

I think this is a great serum for people experiencing dull and dry skin. It definitely helps plump up the face after a few uses. I would highly recommend this!
