Ultra B2 Hydrating Serum Reviews

I treated myself to a Xmas pack, which had this, the Ultra Moisturising Cream and the Micellar Water together for just over $100 - a bargain! It really is a lovely product, but Id' be hesitant to spend $85 on it, especially when the equivalent The Ordinary product is on the market for almost a tenth of the price.

This serum is completely clear and has no perfume - which I like a lot. It spreads really easily and 1 pump is all that's needed to treat my whole face and neck. The packaging is robust and the pump works perfectly to dispense just the right amount.

My skin has gotten a bit less oily as I've gotten older and I'm finding it gets quite dehydrated lately. This serum, layered under the Ultra Moisturising Cream, has helped the dehydration significantly, so there's no issue with its performance. The price is the only thing that would put me off purchasing again in the future, hence it loses a star for that.

My Skin therapist recommended this to me as dehydration is one of my main issues and my skin really struggles retaining moisture. After a week of use I could see a massive difference, my skin was fresh, hydrated, clear and smooth and felt more plump. I applied it every morning before moisturiser as a serum and then applied makeup like normal. I found it to be a little expensive but a little does go along way and it is worth the investment If you struggle with your skin.

Hyaluronic acid is my favourite skincare ingredient so I naturally went gaga when I saw that hyaluronic acid is the 4th ingredient of this serum. The serum is packaged in a dropper bottle. The serum itself is quite thin, runny and transparent.

Because hyaluronic acid's major function is to bind water to skin, I use this serum immediately after a spray-on toner, and before applying facial oil and/or moisturiser. I use approximately 3-4 drops for the entire face and neck. I use this serum twice a day.

I found that my skin is kept hydrated all day long. I also like that this serum is so quickly absorbed and it does not leave any residue on skin. Makeup can be applied almost immediately without affecting the finish of the makeup. Because it keeps my skin hydrated, my skin produces less oil and I do not have a shiny face.

This serum is very similar to one of my all time favourite serums, Dermalogica Hydrating Booster. I am giving this Ultra B2 serum just 4 stars as I prefer the Dermalogica over this. The Dermalogica hydrating serum is just a tiny bit thicker (so I feel I can use less of the Dermalogica serum and yet has a good spread over my skin), and I also prefer Dermalogica's squeeze bottle which is more convenient and no need to worry the bottle may tip over spilling the product.

I've been using the B2 serum for a few months, which is how long it should take to see results, but I saw and felt results within the first week. I always have dehydrated skin because of my job so I have used atleast 15 Hydrating Serums in the past, this is by far the best. Ultraceuticals serums are as close to a doctors prescription that you can get without actually going to a Dermatologist. This double dose of vitamin B is strong, active and effective on my skin. I can see the difference in the feel and clarity of my skin. I use 2 drops in the evening, let it dry for a second, and top it off with my moisturiser.

B2 hydrating serum, I have recently made the transition to ultraceuticals something I've never used this product range before I started off on the baseline products which included the B2 hydrating serum using it once per day.in the past I have been told you need to allow 1-3 months to see a change in the skin. After using this product for just 4 days I could see a significant difference in the level of his dehydration.
The double dose of vitamin B - niacinamide is an industry favourite at the moment and provitamins B5, being a humectant is a powerful moisturise ingredient aswell as being an anti irritant instantly soothing and conditioning the skin. Working closely beside cucumber extract.
Hyaluronic acid - holding a thousand times its own water weight and found naturally in the skin.
I love the fact there is no nasties free of parabens and synthetic fragrances.

This is an oil-free serum with a double dose of Vitamin B (B3+B5=B2) for the ultimate boost in hydration.
B5 (Panthenol) combined with Hyaluronic Acid is capable of holding up to 1,000 x it’s own weight in water, to restore vital moisture balance and provide long-lasting hydration to all skin types. Along with anti-ageing Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) it works to visibly plump and reduce fine lines and wrinkles and increases the hydration levels of tired, stressed or extremely dehydrated skin.

It comes boxed, and the serum is in a ceramic bottle, sealed with a plastic cap and alongside it, the dispensing dropper – a simple matter of unscrewing the cap and replacing with the dropper. Keep the cap as this will come in handy if transporting the serum – less likely to come loose and leak.

I dispense 2 drops of the serum onto my fingertips and apply gently to the face, avoiding the eye area. It’s clear and gel-like , but light -it's slightly sticky and dries in a few seconds. Very soothing to the skin.

This can be applied morning and night to face and neck. I’ve been using it at night as a treatment serum applied before the Ultra Moisturiser Cream, as I'm using sufficient serum in the morning. But I have used in it in the morning following Ultraceuticals in-salon treatments, when I’m unable to use any products containing active ingredients (AHA, BHA, exfoliants,Vit A or Vit C) for 5-7 days and I find it gives my skin a wonderful hydration boost.

I've been using this serum for 10 weeks and I still haven't used it all - 30mls will last a while. Along with the other Ultraceuticals products I'm using, there has been a visible reduction in the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles with my skin looking looking plumper and feeling far more hydrated.

Absolutely hate when I run out of this product! It is part of my daily routine twice a day. It just makes my skin feel so hydrated, radiant and smooth. I have a very oily t-zone and l find this just a big difference when combined with a light moisturiser. I can not fault it, a little goes along way. Highly recommend, especially to those who suffer the dreaded oily skin. a great alternative to a moisuriser.

I was fortunate to have won this product, but after using it for several weeks I can tell you that even with an $85 price tag, I'd buy it, and I'm not one to quickly part with my hard-earned dollars without knowing that I'm getting something worthwhile. What I like about the product is the dropper, which allows for a no-waste, clean delivery. Products get contaminated and therefore inefficient if you're dipping your finger in a jar, and pumps never let you use the last 5% or so, which is frustrating, especially when there's a big price tag attached. The serum goes on silky and my skin just drank it up. I'm so tired of products that tout miracle-like properties, but all they do is deplete your wallet, well this product really is all that it claims to be; a hydrating, moisturising serum that provides quick, effective love to your face. A little goes a long way, so you don't need to use much to reap the benefits. And unlike other creams and potions that can make your face feel 'tacky' this serum is extremely light so you can easily put your makeup on after its settled in. Finally, I really like and respect that it's an Australian made, eco-friendly and cruelty free product.

Ultraceuticals was recommended by a friend - and with a bit of trepidation I went to the counter at David jones. I don't usually agree with the recommendations at department stores as I have sensitive combination skin so on any day it can be a bit of anything. I got a pack if travel size products to try rather than the expense of full-sized products and thus serum is a definite winner!
You only need one big drop for your whole face - it comes in a bottle with dropper so it's easy to get the right amount (the packaging is cool and ties in with the more pharmaceutical/cosmetic angle Ultraceuticals is taking). After massaging into your face, it's tacky for a few moments then sinks in leaving moisturised skin with no residue or oiliness.
I follow up with Ultraceuticals ultra moisturising lotion and I've found my skin dewy and fresh - fewer breakouts and more even tone. It's well worth the expense.
