Even Skintone Serum Mild Reviews

I was put on a 90 days Ultraceuticals Skin Challenge through BH and I received and have been using the Even Skintone Serum Mild product for the past 3 months.

The boxed Even Skintone Mild Serum comes in a white, opaque 30 mL glass bottle with a screw-on cap. The box also contains a dropper (made up of a white squishy teat, silver screw-on plastic cap, and a see-through glass pipette). I keep the dropper cap screwed on the bottle at all times and the plain cap for when I have to take the serum with me for overnight travel to avoid spills.

The opaque glass bottle keeps the product stable as it shields sunlight from penetrating the bottle and breaking down the product. The pipette dropper dispenses the product without ever coming in contact with my hand/fingers so it keeps germ transfer to a minimum. Overall, the look and feel of the bottle is no-nonsense and made to ensure product stability which I’m quite impressed with.

The serum is clear and lightweight, slippery and slightly tacky to the touch. It smells strongly of alcohol. After cleansing with my Ultra Balancing Gel Cleanser, I dispense a couple of drops of the Even Skintone Serum Mild onto my fingers and quickly pat it onto my face, avoiding the eye area. It sinks in and absorbs quickly so I have to work it in and spread it all over my face as quickly as possible. It slightly stings areas of my face that might have a cut or scratch but the stinging feeling subsides within seconds. There are no other reactions for me from using this product. I wait a few minutes and follow it up with UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 50+. I’ve been instructed to use the serum during daylight hours but since the serum has a high aha, bha content, a high spf is essential as using these actives can make skin sensitive to sunlight.

Prior to starting the 90 day challenge my skin was uneven in tone and texture. My t-zone was a shade of two duller looking than other areas of my face. I also had started to see an enlargement in the size of pores on my nose and sides next to my nose. With consistent use of this serum my t-zone skin has brightened up and my face has a glow and a lit-from-within look. Forget strobing, Even Skintone serum is the secret to that elusive glow that we all crave. My pore size has also shrunk but has not completely disappeared. The pores appear softer and less noticeable overall.

I think Ultraceuticals uses a fantastic combination of cell-communicating active ingredients and I would purchase products with these ingredients as I got amazing results.

Tried this out as a sample and fell in love with the performance. I've been using this brand religiously for a few years and I love their products. I pair this with my Balancing gel cleanser and Moisturizing night cream to get rid of my unbalanced, dry skin. It's not cheap, but if you share it with one or two other people it's not so bad as it lasts ages, you only need a tiny bit every second night depending on how sensitive your skin is.

Another favorite which l can not do without in my daily ritual. Using along with an Ultraceuticals cleanser and Ultra b2 in the morning has completely refined my skin texture and look so much more radiant and clearer. It doesn't come cheap, but after having problematic skin for many years l can justify it,
