Ban bad boy hygiene
I used to go out with a guy who stayed far away from any kind of beauty products, especially products for men. He believed he didn’t need to use things that smelled girly and made him all soft and fluffy – he liked his dishevelled appearance, and he wore it like a badge of honour.
So one day after patting his head and feeling it take a little more time than considered normal to get my hand back – I stomped my beauty foot down.
Luckily, this gig allows me to get up close and personal with all kinds of products, both for men and women – so when the Dove men’s range - Men+Care - floated by my desk, I knew this was the best product for him – the happily unwashed, self proclaimed bad boy.
I convinced him that these products were made for men, without any girly fragrance or pretty packaging. He was especially sold on the fact that he could wash his face and body with the Dove Men+Care Deep Clean Body and Face Wash – no fuss!
Dove men’s products are now the perfect addition to his bathroom caddy. It didn’t help us stay together, but now as good friends I can tell him how much better he looks and smells now that he’s banned the bad boy hygiene!
How have you influenced a guy's hygiene ways?
