What is laser pigmentation removal and does it actually work?
Sun damage, discolouration, and age spots are skin issues most Australians deal with thanks to our outdoor lifestyle and incredibly strong sun.
And while we firmly believe in wearing SPF every single day, staying out of the sun during peak hours, and loading up on the anti-ageing serums overnight, these tactics can only get you so far. Many people have a genetic predisposition to hyperpigmentation and no amount of brightening cream or staying indoors is going to change that.
Luckily, there have been some amazing technological advances in skincare treatments in recent years. Now, one of the most effective (and permanent) ways to get rid of unwanted pigmentation on the skin is through laser pigmentation removal.

Laser pigmentation removal is a non-invasive laser treatment that works to reduce the appearance of freckles, dark spots, age spots, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. It can be done on all parts of the body, including face, neck, and decolletage. It works by grabbing hold of the pigmentation deep within the skin and breaking it up into small particles, all without damaging the surrounding skin. Those targeted particles will darken, rise to the surface of the skin and flake off over time, leaving you with clear, even-toned skin.
No cuts, scars, or down-time.
Sounds amazing right? We thought so too.
So after doing a little research, we decided to try it out. We booked in with Dr. Josh Wall at Contour Clinics in Five Dock and bh’s Delaney went under the laser in the hopes to get rid of her unwanted hyperpigmentation.
