Most triallers were impressed that there were so many shades in the Maybelline New York FITme Matte + Poreless Foundation shade range, and found it easy to find the perfect match for their skin. They found that the formula felt lightweight on their skin and was easy to apply with fingers, a brush or sponge. Triallers liked that the foundation left them with a flawless, matte finish, and members with oily skin types mentioned that the foundation keep their skin shine-free while they wore it. Most triallers liked the bottle, however some members mentioned that they would have prefer that it came with a pump to disperse the product. Many members will keep using the foundation in future and thought that the product was great value for the price.

“The first thing I noticed is the large range. I had no issue finding my shade match at all. It comes in a typical glass bottle and works well with foundation brushes, buffing brushes and beauty sponges for application. I also never had any issues with it looking streaky once applied which was fantastic. The coverage is great, feels light on the skin and is a medium coverage foundation. I found it blended well with other products as needed and it lasted well all day. I had no issues with it during the work day, a little breaking up around the nose area but the rest of my face still looked great by the end if the day.I also didn't have any issues with looking oily throughout the day, it kept me looking matte from dawn till dusk! It is definitely a matte foundation, and one I would highly recommend to everyone to take a look at.”

“The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation is lightweight and easy to apply. Not a lot is needed to provide all-over coverage to the face and neck areas. It is great value for money, and I like that it leaves a matte finish as opposed to a shiny finish as some other foundations do. There are many shades available, I don't think that I know of another foundation that has so many shades available in its range. The foundation is long lasting, and that is one of my favourite things about it. I have tried quite a few foundations over the years and this definitely is one of the best ones as far as the long lasting factor goes. I like that it blends into the skin evenly and doesn't look different from natural skin tone. I would recommend this foundation to those that want a matte look.”

“As part of the beautyheaven trial team, I was given the shade Creamy Beige (122). I usually struggle to find a perfect shade for my skin, as it is some what light, however I also have hints of warmness. This shade was almost perfect! Which was super surprising, however with 40 shades available, I am sure everyone can find a shade for them. It come in quite a nice bottle however no pump supplied, so it is a bit messy. No smell was evident. I used this everyday for work. It was so easy to apply (I just used my fingers), and I got a really great smooth result. Very lightweight and easy to wear. Dried nicely on the skin and didn't feel too dry. It definitely made my pores disappear, which was awesome considering expensive brands like Estee Lauder make them look huge! I tried the foundation with concealer and powder. By the afternoon, I definitely still felt somewhat oily (I have crazy oily skin). However as soon as I reapplied more powder though, it was fine and I could continue enjoying the foundation. I used two layers depending on my skin blemishes and it worked well and didn't look cakey. For the price I think this is an amazing quality foundation and I will continue to use up the rest of this bottle. Just need to maybe use a better primer or power to control the oil a bit more.”

“I was pleasantly surprised! The shade I picked using the online photo matching tool was great, it actually is almost perfect. I easily went at least 6 or so hours at work without any shine, and the coverage is quite good without feeling too heavy or thick. I definitely did notice that it blurred my quite visible, large pores, and just gave a really nice finish overall. The colour choices with this foundation are really generous too, soooo many to choose from! Definitely get in store if you can to test, but uploading a well lit photo from home and using the online tool worked just as good as i had hoped! Overall a lovely light liquid with great coverage and matte properties. I would just prefer a pump lid thats really the only drawback i could find.”

This foundation gets great reviews, but it contains alcohol. It has a pale shade (110) that looks good - I wish that it was available in the Fit Me! range for drier skin. Shade 115 is too dark for me.

Poreless? Yaaas! Hey, just a note to Maybelline....pores get huger with age. I did not need the foundation until my mid 30s...now when I need one, year cut offs are insane. Blah...Perhaps as it is drying? More suitable for younger acneic skin?
